hi! I'm using w2k When i try to attempt to read an mpg file (in the thumbnail or in the media player), i get an error message "this version testing date is expired". I thought it was wmp7 so i uninstall it and the result is the same, so i wonder with DirectX 7 now, but i do not know how i can reinstall it, i can't succeed to find a downloadable version for w2k.... Have an idea?

hi ! I'm surprised to see you all did not have special problems with liveware 3.0 on w2k. After installing it, i can't access the speaker and mixer panel, do u have an idea?

For a few weeks, i've begun to get error box "Internet Explorer will be closed because it has generate an error", this happen when i'm doing an action (click a button, access a page, enter a textfield....) and it can occur at any moment. When i have a look at application error log, i can see it is winlogon who is the error source (id 1002): "The environment has stopped from an unexpected cause and internet explorer has restarted" Please help me if you have any idea, i will shoot this f..... computer if it continues like that

Hi ! I've noticed from several weeks that Outlook Express is becoming slower and slower on my Win2k OS, i didn't have this problem with win9x. Indeed, as it try to access POP accounts , everything is bloqued during this time ! If someone is aware of this problem, i wouls be glad to know more about that ... thanks

I do not know the solution of this odd problem but i'm convinced it's due to video drivers as it was said previously. I get this problem as soon as i had installed the ATI driver for my fury. Since i removed it, any more problem..... May be there is a certification from microsoft constructor do not respect and it's the reason of the problem ! I really don't know

The studio 4.0 Drivers do work in win2k! But when I try to hibernate I get an error stating "Studio PCTV is preventing windows from hibernating.

I had the same problem ! It happened just after i installed my ATI drivers but i uninstall it without be sure it was the cause of the problem ! As hardware like you, I just just have one sb live so perhaps it's the driver..... I'll contact you if the problem happen once again

I encountered a strange problem since i installed Liveware for w2000, indeed the install is running correctly but when i reboot to valid changes, the system crashes and reboot just after the log box ! Do someone has a solution (I tried to uninstall the sblive driver and reinstall it without success) Thanks PS: i installed sblive2000 beta drivers before and it didn't work, but i uninstall after! Since this install, my tvcard cannot run anymore also.....

After i've installed the ati driver for my rage fury 32 mo (it works quite well), my system began to hang on (the mouse do not move - CTRL ALT SUPPR didn't respond), so i just could reboot (first w2k crash 8) ) but i was surprised when the same happened 10 minutes later ! Are there known problems with ATI drivers? If the answer is "yes", is there a solution? thnaks

Finally, i had the same problem as raider, it was the file ctmm32.dll which was causing trouble, i succeedeed in deleting it on a friend win2000 computer Thanks again raider and rbarbier

Hi everyone ! I have W2000, w98 and linux installed on my computer (each one on a primary partition) but i can't succeed in chosing one of them from the boot : W2000 has installed NT loader on my w98 partition ( choice between w98 and w2000 but not linux) and lilo is not really fine. How can i modify the ntloader to consider every system? Or is there a freeware loader loader which can do it quite well (i've tried boot it -> can't run w2000 and bootmaster which crashed my table partition)??? Many thanks for answers !

raider & rbarbier ! Sorry for not being present in the dialog (i was trying rbarbier and creative solution). At the moment, nothing work.... But i've still ctmm32.dll and sfman32.dll in my winnt\system32 directory, but i can't find the way to delete it : i use ntfs and neither my w98 nor linux can see it. And the safe mode refuse to delete it also. What can i do ???? Please help, i'm fed up with this !!
