I have IE6.1 which came with winXP sp1 - installed on a dual AMD plateform. I can't show source from HTML pages and I can't drag&drop pictures from HTML pages to copy them on hard-drive. ;( I didn't change IE options, I took a look and saw nothing specialy wrong. Someone has an idea? Aragorn

I deleted all cached files, history, etc... And now all is working back fine. I have no idea wat the problem was. I can again see sources from pages and copy directly pictures from internet (as i work as webmaster/designer, it's pretty usefull). - if someone else got this problem he know now what to try... - The only think which changed, previous/next button make page reload insteed of just showing them back. This came probably with IE6sp1 and I still didn't find how to desactive "reload" thingy (it's better choising urself if you reload or not a php file knowing you can get different infos). Aragorn

Here is the news (in french) about this driver. http://www.power3d.com/pages/main/news.asp?numero=4340 In two words, it say that this drivers can't be d/l on nvidia web-site. I have a Geforce3 with detonator 40.72. no crash... neither in windows or games (like warcraft3) Only little problem is in 3D studio max, the viewport show some bugs (as about all nvidia beta drivers I think) My Geforce3 bios is 3.20.00.10 Verify urs, the solution is maybe here. Aragorn

Since I installed the SP1 for IE6, I have a new wierd bug. I dunno exactly what create it but sometime I can't see pictures from web-site anymore. (maybe only pictures cached). To debug, need to stop iexplorer.exe in the task manager (or explorer.exe if it's the executable used). Well I found a page wich create me the bug all the time. You can test it. Maybe a part of code source of this page create the problem. http://www.3dvf.com/artistes/galerie/img_artist.php?page=19 You wont able to see the last pics, now try another web site, you will get the same problem evrywhere. What happen? When I run an openGL application I crash with a blue screen saying that it come from my video card driver. I have try 3 different 21.xx drivers. I have the last nvidia bios (which has work on win2K). CM: MSI 694D pro (last bios) VC: Leadtek

It seem to work now. But what have I do? Only manipulations in the MB Bios. I have flash the bios again (same bios), load the safe config, reboot, and change options for my config. The AGP fast write was disable, and he is still disable... ;( I have actualy the detonator 21.83. I have test on 3D studio MAX, Microsoft directx screen saver, winamp openGl plugin... seem to work. Sparkhard: I hope you will found a solution more logical has mine.

I have the Asus P2B-D With last bios (1012b), and two PentiumIII 550MHz inside (512Ko). And it does NOT work fine on Win2K! Some applications like 3D Studio MAX r3, Photoshop5 and 5.5, Media player (!!! Whis mpeg movie), IE5 (Only with intansive use on Web page) close themself alone (or Dr Watson). With two PentiumII, the motherboard work really fine! I don't understand what diswork, please help me! I have the Asus P2B-D Motherboard. I have to contact Asus to do a hardware rework. But I have no adresse or phone number from asus-france (I live in France) .The Alternate solution involves removing ACPI drivers and installing APM drivers instead. How can I do that? ------------------ Aragorn

Ok, I haven't the ACPI problem with my P2B-D, but a smp problem. Two PII 400MHz work fine, but two PIII 550MHz (bus 100MHz) make the system crach (maybe only the smp applications like 3DSmax3, photoshop5.5, sometime explorer...). I have heard that a non-official patch can resolve my problem. I search it. ------------------ Aragorn

I have Dual PIII 550@625MHz with P2B-D motherboard (last bios). The task manager say me that the Kernel cpu/times take 20% of the first processor, 80% of the second. Before the PIII, I had dual PII 400@450, and the CPU/times was only 1% per processors. What happens? ------------------ Aragorn

So... My problems aren't finished. To sum up, I first installed v1012 bios two weeks ago, it used 50% of my CPU time. Then, I got, the v1009 bios, which fixed this problem. But two other problems appeared (it's possible that they existed before). The first one is a blue screen which shows after a long period of non-use of my PC. The second problem is the random closing of my applications. Particularly 3D Studio MAX r3, When I run a scene, it shuts down on loading (at best on rendering). Same for Quake3 for example (even though this happens more rarely). I have just downloaded the new v1012 bios from the Asus site . I installed it, and now, the CPU time bug seems to be fixed, but the two other bugs are still here. Here is the description of my hardware: P2B-D (bios 1012) Dual PIII 550@617MHz (512 cache) 384Mo Ram (1x256 + 1*128, 7 nano) Matrox G400 dual Head (Latest Bios, Latest Drivers for win2K) Adaptec 2940u2w (Latest Bios) Creative SB platinium (I haven't installed Liveware for win2K, too many bugs) Only SCSI disk (nothing on IDE) OS: Win2K final french ------------------ Aragorn

In games such Q2,Q3 and Unreal (Direct3D), in a interval between 2 and 15 minutes, the game freeze up. The Ctrl+Alt+supp doesn't work (access to task manager), so Windows 2000 is really out. I can only reboot. I have try the same play with the same hardware configuration on Windows 98 and Windows Nt4, and it work. Many users are waiting for a smp fix. ------------------ Aragorn
