  1. Hi, The RC1 setup can only upgrade the system when it is a server OS and says that my win2k pro is no good. I tried the following : - Use NTSwitch to transform my Win2k Pro into Win2k Server - Run RC1 setup and upgrade. The first part went well. The setup was fooled quite well, it started to upgrade, copied files, the usual setup stuff. After that it boots, shows the .NET RC1 Setup entry in the boot menu then stops displaying this error message : "needed DLLs for kernel" Has anyone successful with that kind of trick ? Nidhogg PS: I had a ghost image ready, my system is back to good old Win2k Pro, no problem here, just curious
  2. Quote: yea and now it is probably fubared in the midst of the .NET install Nope, I restored it from a ghost image. I also have multiple backups on 20GB travan cartridges .
  3. Well, I know I should clean install it but I've been taking great care of my system for years now, and I don't feel like reinstalling and reconfiguring tons of stuff just for a RC1 ... It was worth a shot anyway !
  4. I installed SoF yesterday as administrator. Now I can't play any OpenGl game (Q3A, SoF) or even OpenGL screensavers. I get something like 3 fps when I should get 75 and that is only if it works at all. I have an Asus TnT2 and I tried basic drivers+opengl fix, 3.78, 3.81, 5.13 to no avail. If you have a solution to that problem ... I don't want to reinstall my OS just because some crappy game did something wrong. Using a power user account as Raven Software suggests gives the same results.
