My Voodoo 3 9x drivers work great in ME, however there is a new ME driver on the voodoo site.

I need help. I just recently installed ME, everything went great, then all of a sudden the other day, when I connect to the internet via Dialup, it connects just fine, transmits data great, but it stops rcvng data at 310 bytes, and will not rcv any more. I have already un/reinstalled NEtwork components, and DUN. I thought that it was caused by a corrupt winsock file, however they have removed the System File checker, or atleast the Run command of SFC. Any help or input would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

Thanks for the info about SFC, however after un/reinstalling everything, I mean everything. I finally decided to do a format and fresh install, works great now. Discovered the problem, it was caused by uninstalling AOL 5.0.

I know this is an NT forum, but I can not get answers any where else. I was under the assumption that ME was not going to be released to the public until Sept 14th. However I am seeing alot of people (mainly who buy E-Machines) purchasing new PC's w/ ME on them. Did Microsoft release ME to the OEM's for distribution before it is released to the public, or is E-Machines pre-shipping ME?

I am not interested, I was just looking for the answer.

If you are looking for pure home use and gaming go w/ ME, 2K does not run alot of games well.....IF you are looking for a platform to do more w/ than just gaming go w/ 2K.....The Dual boot idea is also a good one.

I want to change which drive is my default audio drive in Win 2K. In win98 it is in multimedia, on the cd music tab. Now either I am just blind or dumb, or it is somewhere else in 2K. Any one know where it is?

How did you swap drive letters w/ out swapping the physical drives?

I was wondering I am running windows 2000 Pro. I have a few apps that will not run on it, due to being older apps. I want to dual boot win 98, is this possible w/ out having to reinstall 2K again. If so what is the best way to go about doing that? Any help would be greatly appreciated Thanks

I want to uninstall Win2K from one of my computers. The PC has a drive partitioned into 2 parts, Win2K is on the Primary partition, 98SE is on the secondary partition. Is there any way to remove Win2K w/ out formatting, or w/ out causing an issue w/ 98?

Why is it every time Microsoft releases an update to a pruduct it seems far worse than the original...... Look at 95, it was buggy, they then release 98 it was a little better, 98SE what a joke, and now you guys are saying ME is worse than 98SE. Why can they not get it right. 2K Pro has yet to crash on me, it has been running continuasly for over a month now w/ out an issue.

That is what I am going to do, just reinstall everything...... Make my life a little less miserable........

T problem there is C:/ and D:/ are 2 partitions, I was actually thinnking of setting D:/ as the primary until 98 is on then setting C back to primary....

I downloaded and installed teh program, however it still will not allow me to trick 98 into thinking my D drive is the primary boot drive, I tried booting the system w/ D onky, using the 98 bootdisk, and even dumping the bootdisk files onto D then booting that way. 98 still insist on installing on the C drive........Any other thoughts?

Is anyone else exp this, when I set 2K to shut down my hardrive after a certain amount of time, they never shut off, and the computer will not come back up. I am forced to do manual restart when I do I rcv a different error every time, restart again, and everything works fine. Any solutions other than never shut off the harddisk, be the case right now.

I am in the market for a DVD decoder card, I have a pioneer 6x DVD, a Voodoo 3 3000 video card, AMD Athalon 650 128 megs of Ram, Windows 2K and 98SE dual boot, what is the best decoder for this setup?

How did you uninstall the Hotfix, that is when my stopped working to.

Well that is what I shall do..... Worse thing worse it will not work, and then I am in the boat I am in now.

I have heard it is better to power down, but if you say it is better to leave them running, that I shall do, and not worry about powering them down.....

Will this allow me to install windows 98 onto my secondary partition, the only one that is fat32???????

If I do decide to format and reinstall, in your opinion's should I just leave the drive as is, 8.3 Gig, or should it be partioned. Same scenario, I will be dual booting 2K and 98SE
