Brainsoft; The original link was where I downloaded the first GUI version (887KB) from, and later on, the 1.27MB version 1.0. Yup, totally agree there-nifty little piece of software...Alex went so far as to tell me he is NOT extending functionality to Right clicking *.bin files.....:-0 He's a good guy, open to suggestions, shoot him a message. Many thanks to RandyC for bringing to attention the updated link; I've also just posted the updated link in the first post.

Scott- do NOT forget to uninstall your extensions - XP doesn't like them too much, and before you give up on Win XP, make sure you have disabled the built-in compression utility's *.sit file support. But then, you've already done that, right ? Haven't you ?!

Hi, Your 6100USB should most likely work according to the page below - http://support.visioneer.com/customer/winxp.html However, I believe you need PaperPort 7 or 8; if you were close by, like right next door, I'd let you borrow my PaperPort Deluxe 8 CD to verify your 6100USB works, before you go spending $$$ on a new scanner. PM me if you like, Ricardo & atreyu.

Or, on a non-domain (workgroup) system, install Novell NetWare services...FWIW. That forces C-A-D at startup, and disables fast user switching as well.
