Wondering about the differences/improvements between ECDC 5 Platinum & ECDC Deluxe 4.03a, if any. Does ECDC 5 include DCD 5 ? Any W2k Pro installation issues/problems that one should be aware of ? Does the Recorder Support Database add more then that of ECDC 4.03a ? TIA

Uninstalled Cute FTP & my Right Click menu still has the option to 'Edit with Cute HTML'. My default HTML editor is another program; how the heck do I delete trash entries from my Right Click menu ?! This reminds me of Adobe GoLive 4's tendency to remain in the right-click menu after uninstallation....TIA
-
Gotcha; however, I ran regedit & deleted every instance of 'Edit with CuteHTML' that I found a few minutes back; thanx anyway.

Installing the standalone upgrade version of SP2 resulted in an error halfway through installation-apparently a file could not be updated; I'm running my LEGIT copy of O2k SR1; any ideas ? I've also got all updates installed except for CDO security & e-mail security, preferring instead to trust Sophos Anti-virus et al; TIA

Anyone got this demo from Novalogic running right on a Dell Inspiron 7500 ? OK,OK,I know it's only got 8MB of vid.memory..

You got that right !! Plus, they finally figured out that a "cancel defrag mft/directories etc." option at boot up is kinda nice...

Hey there, JPW, I don't get to choose cluster size during setup; I just boot straight off the CD (never used floppies in w2k), delete my existing system partition, recreate it, format using NTFS, and install the dang thing into C:\WINNT etc.etc...
-
Hey, JPW, looks like w2k setup does convert from fat(32?) to ntfs; however, every install I've had formats the boot partition with 4096 bytes...I've got 3 NTFS partitions of 5, 4 & 8GB each, and w2k as the sole os..

Does this game work under NT/2000 ? -thanx.

Hey, DosFreak, I have no idea how to install the game-I've no clue how to run a DOS window/box; I give away my youth and inexperience here.....
-
Usual ATI/Mikersoft stuff; double entries in the Control Panel's Add/Remove etc.-more annoying to a beholder of beauty than anything else..will check out the utility, though anything that messes with System File Protection scares my God-fearin' soul.....

If you can call Lumpkin County in the North Georgia mountains a sophisticated urbanite's lair....besides, you should check out my interests under my profile..hey, JPW, HOW does one uninstall (cleanly) all ATI drivers/references in order to install the one I want again ?! Regards... [This message has been edited by ofelas (edited 22 October 2000).]

Black Ice Defender 2.1u was the first non-beta Win2k version; the current version for all supported OpSys's is 2.1x-works just fine on my w2k system, though I still prefer Zone Alarm.

Where does one get the patch which allows you to install Direct CD 3 on W2k; do you have to update Easy CD creator BEFORE rebooting (what about up[censored] DirectCD ?) Thanks. Would appreciate a cc to ofelas2@home.com as my browser keeps crashing..
