What is this msg about Media Player 7 adaptec plugin? I just installed Media7 this could be my problem with 3.5c? Could you explain this more

Application errors saying The instruction at "0x007a91f6" referenced memory at 0x00000069. The memory could not be read. click ok to terminate click cancel to debug I thought it was my memory and sent in for replacement 256MB chip. I currently popped in a 64MB chip and havn't gotten the error as often but did get the error one time. Is this actually memory errors or is it something else? Please help!

I have an ABit BP6 with dual Celerons and Win2k running. I was wondering why it is before with 98 my machine would shut down no problem automatically. Now with Win2k it goes to the Windows can now be shut down safely screen and stays there. I can't even hit the power button it does nothing! I have to hit the reset button then hit power. Any help would be great!
