I have Millenium and 2000 dualbooted. but i cant get the TV out to work in 2000. It doesnt even have the option. I have installed all of the software and updates. The TV out works fine in Millennium,so i am stumped. Oh and my Media Player generates errors in Millennium i would like to re-install it but microsoft doesnt seem to want me to find it. OK , now that there are umteen sets of detonator drivers, what ones are the best?? What have you guys found to be the best in 2000 with a Geforce 2 GTS ? what are the best for DX 7 ? and witch one for DX8 ? I want to find a set and stick to it. So give me your feedback. Thanks, Sparkhard

heh, this is an age old problem. It isnt your video card or any of your hardware. It is a flaw in Beta 7 and all the versions. make a shortcut to halflife on your desktop, then right click on it and goto PROPERTIES then at the end of the command line type in " -console " so that the line reads \halflife DIR \ hl.exe -console that should fix it. if it doesnt post a reply there could be something else. It is only for internation versions of 2k. it has no performance increase, (at least thats what the article said).

I have just reformatted and re-installed 2k. I downloaded my drivers ok.But when i tried to install SP1 I get this error about 100 times. Windows - Delayed Write Failed "Windows was unable to save all the data for the file \Device\HarddiskVoulume3\temp\ext5064\ (whatever file name) . The data has been lost. This error may be cause by a failure of your computer hardware or network connection. Please try to save this file elswhere." Now when i Download anything i get this error, but i downloaded AIM and i recieved the error and said "aww hell i'll just run it anyway" and it worked fine. Anyone ever seen this or know what this might be. Thanks. Sparkhard

You should see a considerable difference seeing as though you are running a (Slot 1) Athlon. LOL

Ok, I have figured out that I only get this error in Win 2k . I have Millennium dualbooted and this problem never occurs. Should i run another clean install of 2k ? ANY!!!! help is appreciated. Sparkhard

I swear this is true, i am using the latest 6.47 for 9X. i Acidentally downloaded them and installed them. It wouldnt accept them but i forced Win2k to and it worked. I get a rock solid 102.5 FPS and at 1154x 32 bit [This message has been edited by Sparkhard (edited 21 January 2001).]

Scrape that crappy thermal tape off. I had it on my Dual CPU system and it would crach all the time. Scrape it off with a Razor, wash it, LET IT DRY apply a thin layer of thermal paste (get some good paste) and slap the HSF back on. I did this and it dropped my temps about 15 - 20 degrees F. that thermal tape was MY problem . It may be a combination of the Tape and a bad thermal sensor. Good Luck, Sparkhard

i think it is like: concolor "0" "0" "0" type that in the console. the "0" represent Values for RGB so for pure red it would be ( concolor 255 0 0 ) i am alomost positive that that is the right command. but i might be wrong , head over to planethalflife.net or www.counter-strike.net the forums there should answer your question. Is there anyway to tell what IRQ windows sets for each device. i am having some peformance problems. I have Me/2k dual booted. Everything runs flawless in Me, but. I have a tiger 100 and i want to use 2k to benefit from SMP. here is my system setup along with my problem. I had a Tiger 100 shipped to me and it runs stable as all hell. EXCEPT, for some games in 2k . Millennium runs fine and 2k does as well. But when 2k gets to games the joystick reaction is delayed and the sound gets jittery,. then sometimes it will just lock up. I Could it be a Hardware conflict that is only present in Win 2k .Because the same exact setup is fine in Millennium. Thanks to all, Sparkhard here is my setup. Tiger 100 Rev.
