Hey does anyone know how to change the songs in Tony Hawk 2 ? I know how to change the track numbers. But i wanted to change the songs themselves. When i play Red Alert 2 my sound will sometimes "leave". I cant hear any sounds untill i restart windows. I have an aureal Vortex 2. anyone else have this problem ?

Correct me if i am wrong but when i Dual boot 98 i have to put it into the primary active partition, and i THINK Me is the same way. Pleas correct me if i am wrong cause i may go back to Me/2000 rather than 98/2000 i threw out Me cause i had more bluescreens than Goerge Lucas did in the first Star Wars movie. I but i have a new copy of it and ive heard the new copies are better or somehting. I dunno, hope htis helps, Sparkhard

Hey Dokt, what were your problems with the tiger 133.? Could you describe them to me? i have recently purchased one and i cant seem to get it to work. i am using a Geforce 2 GTS and it locks to hell whenever i use the video card. It will run fine without drivers installed. but the second i put on any drivers it will lock up to hell sometimes on startup. I am considering calling Tyan and making them exchange the board out. I just got my Tiger 133 MOBO and i am having a big problem... Well i pulled it out of the box and to my suprise.. THERE is no ISA slot,, (this is ok i really dont have anything with the ISA formfactor) so i kinda thought it was just something that Tyan did because of a resource prob. ( i don't know) So i proceeded to put everything in. First i tried just 1 proccesor and the bare minimum. Video card (VooDoo 3 3500 AGP) Floppy and Primary IDE. It Powered up and it wouldn't do anything, so i tried fooling with the jumpers, nothing. SO i tried switching the processor to a different slot. Still nothing. Then i tried removing everything and checking and re-checking all of my connections. Still no go. So i removed the video card and tried to boot it. AHA!! I got the 3 beep error. so i thought maybe the AGP slot got un-seated or something. SO i tried re-inserting it about 10 times. Still nothing.. Then in frustration i pissed on the mother board. Still nothing happened... any help on this prob....????? (I think this is a video card problem.. does anyone know if a Voodoo 3 3000 or 2000 works in this mobo)??? Here is the configuration that i plan to use. 2x P3 500, Voodoo 3 3500 AGP, Aureal Vortex 1, Promise UDMA 66 PCI controller. 12 GB Maxtor 18 GB Western Digital 9 GB IBM HDD's PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE HELP ME : ( Thanks to all who respond, Sparkhard

Hey i was wondering if anyone has an Aureal VOrtex1 on a Mobo with a VIA chipset running Win2k.. I have a Vortex 1 and a Tyan Tiger 133, i need to know if the Vortex will work in 2k or do i need to get another sound card.. ? oh and another thing , since Creative bought out Aureal , where the hell do i get drivers for it? Ive looked at the site but i cant find anything.. maybe im looking in the wrong spots...

PLEASE HELP I am getting this message in Windows 2000 only. this is the message i get when i goto ADD/REMOVE PROGRAMS. "an unexpected error has occured, Class not registered res://appwiz.cpl/listbox.htc line:225" then i click " ok " and it tells me that "there are no programs installed on this computer" this is BS, i have to have programs installed. so when i scroll down i see a bunch of programs but when i click on them i get this message.."" ADD/REMOVE Programs: mshta.exe - application error the instruction at "0x70000ea35" reference memory at "0x00000000". The memory could not "read". "" WHAT THE HELL IS THIS it just started i have never had any problems with this untill recently.. i haven't changed my RAM or anything else.. i have 98,2000,Whisttler triple booted.. any help or suggestions are much NEEDED and APPRECIATED ... oh and i can post screen shots but i dont know how to do it on this forum.... Ok Guys, thanks for the replies. I have ended up doing a Win 2k upgrade to my existing win2k install , this has fixed it, i have decided to get rid of whistler and to just wait for a solid beta or something to come out (if it ever does). So for now it is just 98/2k for me, thanks to all, Sparkhard

ok thanks, for replying. I first installed Win98 Se, then 2000 then Whistler, .. I have Clean installed all of them.. Win2k has SP1.. i did check out some things at the MS tech info..but it didnt work. I think i am going to do into Win 2k and run the install , then choose Upgrade.. i was told this would probably work.. SYS is PIII 500 128MB pc100 DVD and CDRW drives VooDoo 3 3500 Promise DMA 66

hey i was wondering if Whistler had any type of unistall (like the original 95 had).. I am having some problems with it and i might eventually decide to uninstall it.. Thanks fo rany tips .. Sparkhard

When i try to install whistler 2276 i get all kinds of missing files. I tell it to skip these but it ****s up afterwards. It seems to be RMI files and some other ones.. Am i doing something wrong or did i get a bad copy?? Thanks, Sparkhard

What software would you recomend?

Hi, This is Josiah's setup. PIII, 450 slot 1 on board: sound/video/NIC/MoDem OS. Win2k Pro. 2x 12 gig FAT32 ok, he cant do anything to the files because when he clicks on the folder it gives him that message,. he cant get it through DOS (on a win 98 startup disk) either. I have tried doing varios things to acces the folder. It isnt the HDD b/c he can get to other folders on the drive. Unless it could be a bad sector/cluster or something. By the way he is running Norton SYSworks 2001 and he uses SpeedDisk. He is going to try and mirror the drive if all else fails. Sparkhard. P.S. i am his room mate. In case you were wondering how i knew all of this. I went home for the weekend and havent had time to fool with it.

hey I was wondering. is there any big difference in operation from Windows 2k Professional and Windows 2k Advanced Server? What are the differences and is one better than the other. I have a question about a networking product. I am not sure what I would need, but this is what I want to do, First here is my situation. I am in a dorm with 2 LAN ports (RJ45 connectors) I want to combine the 2 lines and have a single DUAL line connection. 1line out and 1line in. I would also like to put 2 computers on the same connection. The computers would have 2 NICs in them making them have the DUAL line speed. I assume that I would need a SWITCH rather that a HUB ( I would imagine the hub would just defeat the purpose) so that when I am not using one I can have the speed benefit of the 2 lines. Is there anything that will do this , and with a reasonable cost. If you need more information please let me know. I also assume that we would need some sort of software to allow a DUAL line connection. Both computers are running Windows 2000 professional. So if antone could recommend the proper software I would be grateful. Thanks Much, Sparkhard

Well, i might try dropping back my Drivers, EXCEPT THAT 3DFX DOESN'T HAVE ANY... hehe i have a voodoo 3 3500 and the only drivers 3dfx has are beta Drivers... sorry , this was more of a venting post

yeah, i have the same problem, i find that if i just click the "Show Desktop" icon that it usually clears this up. I have an intellimouse w/intellieye and a intellimouse optical. and it has happened with both of them. it is a pain in the ass i know. i guess we just have to deal with it. ------------------ You cant always get what you want, but if you try you'll find you get what you need

Hey, i thought i saw a thread here about a week ago that asked how to link 2 ATX power supplies. If anyone knows how to do this or knows where i can find the post regarding this please let me know.
