Anybody get gearhead garage to work under windows 2000 yet? Thanks

Does anyone have thoughts on the Tyan Trinity 400 motherboard. It seems like a good idea because it has a slot 1 and ppga370 socket, to make it easy to upgrade in the future. If not, should I go for a slot 1 or ppga board. I heard the trend is moving toward ppga processor type now. Thanks.

Can you use a Ultra 33 drive on a Ultra 66 controller card without any problems? If I use a controller, do I need to turn off the built in controllers?

I applied that patch and it worked. I have version 5.2. When installing it gave me 3 error messages titled "Dll registry failed" and the dll's are Gwabp132.dll, Gwabs132.dll, and Gwmsp132.dll. My problem is the address book isn't there. I can go to it but there are not any entries. Any clue what I can try now? Thanks

Is there no network properties or what ever under the Control Panel? Like the one where you could select "Identification", "Services", "Protocols", "Adapters", "Bindings" How do you go about adding new protocls, and checking what services are installed? Thanks

Thanks, that was just what I was looking for.

Is there a way to make it open in "List" view instead of "Large Icon" view? Thanks

Under windows 2000 device manager it lists my universal serial bus controllers as an Intel 82371AB/EB PCI to USB Universal Bus Controller, but says: Your computer's system firmware does not include enough information to properly configure and use this device. To use this device, contact your computer manufacturer to obtain a firmware or BIOS update. (Code 35) Click Troubleshooter to start the troubleshooter for this device. I have a Epox kp6-bs m/b. As far as I know windows is detecting the right usb controller. I have flashed the latest bios (from 3/6/2000), check the Epox website for usb drivers (there weren't any), tried looking at intels site but couldn't find anything, and checked microsofts compatible hardware list, and it said it supported this usb controller. I've tried uninstalling it and letting windows detect and install it on next boot-up. No luck yet. Anybody have any suggestions? thanks

Cool, that worked. I never would have thought to try that. So what did I do by changing that? Thanks.

Has anybody tried this program? I'n thinking about it for 2 reasons. 1. I want to boot between win 2k and nt 4.0 (just to keep as a backup), and linux, maybe BeOS if everything else goes good. 2. I've read on their website that it lets you make/resize partitions. Any comments at all? Thanks
