That didn't work...so here's the deal.. I called Ameritech (the phone company) again on friday and was on the phone with them for an hour! all the while they are saying its a problem on my end... finally they admit that their server is messed up and thats why its booting my password, and the service should be fixed by Saturady. Sure enough come Saturday my account worked! Thanks for your response though! -80sGamer

Ok does anyone else have this problem.. i'm hooked up to a dsl line using pppoe to connect... things run fine but in 1-2 days my connection dies and i have to call them to give me a new password, because when i try to reconnect it says bad password. I called ameritech on this they said it wasn't a problem on their end and that they will change my password anytime. But what would cause this on my end? Thanks In advance!

I hope someone can help me with this problem...thanks in advance! Ok i'm setting up a win2k server for a very small company. They are using custom accounting software that resides on the server and each workstation can access it and see updates and changes made by other users. I would like to do something similar with the outlook contacts. In a perfect world I would like the contact list to reside on the server and each work station to grab information from that. So each workstation has the same contact list. Can this be done with out setting up an exchange server? I read thru some microsoft stuff and it is possible but doesn't work the way i described, in their version you have to update the files manually across the network.. does anyone know how I can solve this? For a while my version of diablo 2 was just restarting my computer at will. Then i got server extension errors. I switched to 2d and it works fine now just something with my gforce i guess. My story.

Ok i have mine all set up nice and fancy but for some reason it just stops. All of my internet connection, and my network browsing stops. Any one else have similar problems? -80sGamer

I have a hp8100 and i can burn them fine its just they won't read after i burn them in 2k. They read in any win98 machine just not my 2k machine. Any ideas THANKS GUYS!

Hey all, i'm a multimedia developer and have created several programs on 80 min disks in 98 just fine however when i burn them in 2000, it burns fine but when i go to run the cd it won't read i've tried in a dvd rom, a cdrw drive and a 32x panasonic drive. Has anyone else had any problems with 80 min disks and win2k? Thanks all -80sGamer

Make sure you don't have to use WINPOET v.1 because it won't work in 2k... version 2 does as does this little ppoe driver for windows 2000 hope ya go faster! -80sgamer

From the windows explorer to the desktop/ he's tried making a shortcut and that won't even work. Any thoughts

My friend has moved the mydocuments folder into the recycle bin and deleted it off the desktop. Now everytime he drags it back to the desktop it only stays for a little while then just leaves. I don't get it he do'nt get it.. anyone have ideas? Thanks -80sgamer

who is your dsl provider i'm on bell atlantic and i use a ppoe connection style so i don't have to use winpoet to connect there is no actual configuring the modem in win2k for it to work if its external and hooked into your NIC

I can get it to run problem is at random times during play it just stops and goes back to windows...

You have to use the driver set at 3.66 or below the new ones lock up your system i just went thru that it sux

Anyone know how to do this i tried under device manager and it wouldn't let me. The reason i need to change them is i found out i have 4 devices using irq 9 and thats whats causing my system to freeze up or at least thats what creative labs says. They said they didn't know how to change the irq's in windows 2000 so now i have a solution and no way to impliment it. Any help would be great thanks in advance -80sGamer
