PCTOOLS??? That sound kinda familiar but I forgot what it was meant for. And btw, DosFreak, I like your 286, sounds pretty high tech! . I suppose it came with a 12" monochrome (meaning green color only) IBM screen? Or did it came with that high-end 16 colors VGA one? haha *Remembering the good old prehistoric days of computing* hehe

Jdulmage- It's not as if you never got a bad critic from other users. So just ignore him if you find thegrant annoying or whatever. In another subject, franckly speaking, with your 250 posts, none of it was of use to me nor really helped me.

The W4r3Z word is censured??? haha... that's something new since my last visit! hehe What happened to the right of speech amendment? Hmm... going to try something else to see if this works. W.A.R.E.Z.

I agree with Gambler. Furthermore, to get Alpha or Beta's copy sended to your door, you usually have to work for a software comp. or anything related to that industry. Anyhow, there are sites, ftp's and etc. where you can find "illegal" copies. About the leak issu, don't you think that it has never occured to M$ thoughts that once the beta's are send out to testers, the software can be copied and redistributed? Actually, I have a feeling that they don't really care that much about the "illegal" redistributing because hackers and ***** users arent a threat (yet) to their business.

DosFreak- What did you think of the Whistler OS? Since jdulmage is so PRO for it, I just want to hear from someone else. Thanks!

OK, so far, what I've learn about this new OS "Whistler" after 6 pagse, is that it's more stable and faster. I remembered that when I installed Win2000, I had a lot of compatibility problems wich has brought me to this site to solve some of those problems. So far, we've discussed about all the POSITIVE side of Whistler but can anyone tell me about the "DARK SIDE" (hehe) of it? (Especially compatibilities issues?) For sure, this OS isnt perfect and before considering reformatting my drive, I need more answers and infos than what you guys posted so far! Thanks! PS: What is the minimum requirements for this OS? P3? 256 ram? 1 gig of space? ------------------ BaronX Der Zweck heiligt die Mittel (The Ends Justifies the Means) Dual Celeron 400 @ 450 BP6 160mb pc100 13.6 gig Fuji 7200rpm HP 7200e SBlive Value nVidia TNT2 32mb AGP W2K(2195)

It's been a while and I still dont believe that it's still going (and going, and going...) Haha. BTW, JDulmage has since quadrupled his posting! Hope u got wiser since your first "crap" comment that iniated all this! Haha... This is too funny!

I guess that this piracy issue has been discussed and debated over and over. I don't think that piracy is completely a bad thing. As any cultural product (ie software, songs, films, etc.) piracy can only increase the products'popularity. And thus, once it's popular, it get endorsed by companies who pays royalties or licenses rights to the creator. Just think about the music industry, it's fonctions almost as same as in the software industry. And whoever can say that they never did copy or tape songs from radio or CD's? Isn't that piracy too?

Well, that kinda sounds like lames excuses... wich I don't believe for obvious reasons. Anyhow, the main thing is that if you really said something stupid, just admit it rather than trying to cover it with some other fairy tale. One thing for sure, it's going to be a while before some else beats your record. So what have we learned here? hehe... Better think twice before posting a foolish comment or opion! PS: If there is a ass contest, you'll sure get my vote! (maybe you won't even need my vote since your level of stupidity -not to mention arrogance- is unsurpassed by no one) haha...

Jdlmage, With your increasing and undeniable popularity or unpopularity (choose the one that u feel more confortable with), maybe you should start a homepage. And maybe you might turn as popular as the Turkish guy Naheem (or whatever his name is) haha... Hey, you never know.

I've read about a software that makes applications and programs "believe" that they are running under another OS (w95, w98, nt - u actually choose the OS) while being in W2K. According to the infos, it's said to improve the compatibility of W2K with W95-98 intended programs... Can anyone confirm that? Or, if someone is using it, how well does it work? Thanks! ------------------ BaronX Der Zweck heiligt die Mittel (The Ends Justifies the Means) Dual Celeron 400 @ 450 BP6 160mb pc100 13.6 gig Fuji 7200rpm HP 7200e SBlive Value nVidia TNT2 32mb AGP W2K(2195)

Thanks DosFreak for the link. VMWare looks quite interesting... but that's not it (still i've downloaded it to test it out hehe ). The Vmware is a program to call out another OS as for the one I was talking about is rather a "OS liar": it tells the CPU (or whatever that controls the system) that it is using a certain OS (i.e. W98, even thought W98 is not intalled on ur PC) while running the real OS (NT, 2000, Linux, etc.) That's quite a pretty advantage for W2Y user like me for I wont need to install 2 OS on my PC (save space, time and not to mention having to worry about softwares'compatibility with my comp). I guess that I'll have to look up all the MB that I've visited to find this stupid link. Keep u guys informed if I come to find it. The search goes on...

Haha... All the infos on him on his homepage! Even his phone! What a stupid kid! Maybe should get a ICQ bomber and message him! haha... Evil rules! (BTW, about the Canadian joke, not a good one! Coz I am one among others here...)

Actually, I was talking about a third party software...

This is getting out of control... hehe... Have we gone too far? Aren't u guys afraid that he might turn out like one of those high school freaks that goes out to gun everyone that hassle him down? Maybe he's plotting something to avenge himself right now! haha

Geez, Arin, he even called you? How did he got the infos on you! hehe... BTW, is it really his picture (the one posted on earlier pages)?
