MS have done really bad things in past...this is the worst!

http://softseek.com/Games/Card_and_Casino/Hearts/Review_30299_index.html I know it's not MS Hearts.. but it's Hearts! It's multiplayer over LAN, AND it works in 2000! Shareware tho, dunno what it costs if you keep it. Theres more here, http://softseek.com/Games/Card_and_Casino/Hearts but that one looked like the one that'd be what ya want. I am working on a project, and I am requiring a computer to have a BSOD pic on the monitor. I've tried taking a screenshot but have not had any success at it yet. Of course not, the computer had crashed. What I'm wondering is if anybody has taken a digital pic with a camera, or possibly had their computer be just usable enough to be able to get the printscreen to work?

How do I get this to go away? I searched this board up and down and could not find any more discussions of this.. I know how to see if I have it, but not how to get it to go away.

That seemed rather random didn't it? You sure got me lost.

It's true man, it's true! I never experienced the random lock up problems. The problem I had was with startup. The computer would not even post, it would just keep cycling the hard drives and cd's over and over. Then every now and again it would eventually start, sometimes it wouldn't. I'd even leave it on for an hour or two sometimes and it would just keep cycling. I know that's not good, but I was so pissed at it I didn't care. Then someone told me that some of the BP6's had these and similar problems due to voltage problems. And that a simple replacement MoBo wold fix it. I bought a new one and it's worked perfectly since January.. I can't find the receipt for the other one, so I can't return it, I have one of the "bad" MoBo's if someone's interested.. I'll sell it cheap!

hehe.. yeah, I caught that as soon as I started reading. A program that STOPS BSOD's?? haha.. right. That's called Mac OS 9 haha

Cool.. Thanks! I got it! Now I can't wait for my next BSOD.. and now it isn't happening.. Murpy's Law I guess.

hehe.. I'm that poor student being referenced.. Yeah.. I didn't really think about it, my college isn't always the fastest at getting new computer stuff quickly. But I can get it online too at a discount.. About $139, I'm probably going to budget for it and see if I can afford it soon. I just downloaded an official Microsoft patch, from Microsoft, that is supposed to remove the 120 day eval too if you have Windows 98 or NT4, I have both, so I'll see if that works for me. I think it should. Thanks for the suggestion! [This message has been edited by Vicman (edited 13 May 2000).]

Way cool.. that looks like it might fix it. I haven't tried it yet though. I have both Windows 98 and NT4 Workstation, which are required as proof of an upgrade, so this should do me just perfectly. I'll try it and see what happens. Thanks alot man!!

Okay then.. I was on the Corporate Preview Program. I have RC2 and Beta 3, and the Final release Gold with 120 day eval. The RC2 and Beta 3 have a 1 year (I think) expiration. So I can just install off of those and by the time it runs out I will be able to buy a real copy of Win2K (I hope) . Which is newest, Beta 3 or RC2? And which is better? I'm assuming it's RC2, but they both came at the same exact time in the mail, so I am not sure. They sent the gold eval copy near mid-Febuary. So I still have a few months left on it now.
