I tried the coolbits hacks and all...but it was simply gone I couldn't access the nvidia panel, let alone anything beyond that as for hardware, it just gave adapter and acceleration up to full I'll keep waiting for something new to pop up

Coldforge AA15 is a StiltBuilt (Faraday Systems) case. it's about 26" tall by 22" deep by 15" wide. it's a big ol WTX case--it's somewhere between a cube and the addtronics W8500. All aluminum, and anodized any color you want it. with the Enermax 330W PSU, it's about 350 bucks, and weighs just 20 lbs. but it's not been released yet. here's a link for the picture of a prototype next to the addtronics W8500 http://www.voidyourwarranty.net/reviews/stiltner/images/cf01.jpg [This message has been edited by INFERNO2000 (edited 24 March 2001).]

ya know what? these 2 words will make my system offially one hell of a system(as soon as it's released.) ColdForge AA-15 (in either black or clear anodization)

Duron vs. Celeron? Duron all the way! Normally I'd say bad things about VIA, but I haven't had problems with the KT133(a) and nvidia cards. But those problems were only experienced(by me) on the KX133....my KT system works perfectly...

120/25.4 = 4.7 or so inches. 4" is what they say...but 120 is more accurate they also call an 80mm fan a 3" fan

Hey..from now on, we need to specify what version of 3dmark we're using. a 3000 in 2001 is really good a 3000 in 2000 is really not as good.

I have a netgear RT313...it does support MAC emulation(spoofing, as it refers it to). I've had really good luck with this as both a standard router for home, and a DHCP server for LAN parties(goodbye static IP problems for morons!)
-
Let' see... I did it one last time with 3dmark2000 before I uninstalled. tweaked everything to have nothing running and MINIMAL services... 8129 sweet! uninstalled 3dmark2000 and installed 3dmark2001. Only got a score of 3185

Anyone have any experience with these cases? If so, can you give me any comments? (this thread belongs here cause it's hardware, and it'll house my Win2K machine. That's my story and I'm sticking to it)

I'll be upgrading my case pretty soon. Here's what I have now http://www.geocities.com/reaper_computer_systems/NEoutside.jpg I'll be getting an Addtronics W8500(or an 8600 if I can so it'll have the locking door on the bezel). Still, my 1.1 is hitting 1.5 ghz, but it's too damned hot for me to feel comfortable keeping it there. maybe when I get the addtronics, I'll spring for a peltier and watercooling.
-
same here...I do my best to recycle parts...that's how I get so many computers in my LAN If I get a new part, it goes in the appropriate system, and the part it's replacing either gets put in another system, or sold to pay for the new part(usually the later). but I am trying to get rid of a couple systems...the low end ones.. I'm wasting my money on a hobby that makes my life more enjoyable some people it's cars, others it's computers.

I got a stick of 128 mb PC100 CL3 ECC ram today for free. What can I use it in? my CUSL2 probably doesn't use ECC. my A7V133 is using Mushkin at 133mhz, so I won't tarnish its good name with no-name memory. My other computers use EDO SIMMS. What does ECC memory work in?

Oh...just tried out Sandra on my system SPANK! my 1.33ghz just kicked the 1.5 P4 system around. I surpassed the P4 score in the multimedia and the cpu benchmark by 400 and 200 points respectively of course, I lost out in the memory benchmark. but DAMN btw I got it to go to 8104 if I turned off everything in my startup. I'm proud of my box now it reaches 110 at full load, and is at 104 at idle I dont usually run my 120s though.. Oh, and Brian? thanks for the compliment. I genuinely don't want to come off like that guy did I know Ronin has a faster machine than I. I know if I wanted to spend thousands of dollars, I could get soemthing a hell of a lot faster than what I have. I like my system. I want ot show it off and get some credit for the hard work I put into it. But I know that many others work hard on their computers, and they deserve as much credit as someone wiht a new system. A Celeron 300a@450 these days is practically nothing. But back a couple years ago, that was a hell of a system. Just because systems grow faster, doesn't mean the work put into them becomes less meaningful. [This message has been edited by INFERNO2000 (edited 07 March 2001).]
