vaguely related. I also have a 39160 I'm thinking about getting a second scsi controller, like a 2940 something to control my Ultra SCSI DVD and CDROM. My thoughts were also into getting a 9GB Ultra SCSI hdd to go on the 2940, then in Linux, I'd have the 2940 enabled, but not hte 39160(which would leave my Windows installation alone) Here, the question is: how would I set it to NOT boot off of the 2940's US drive, but boot off their CDROMs?, then go to the 39160's Channel B where I'd have a bootable U160 drive

Aww Christ how's this? the 2 4.5 GB U2W 72k RPM -IBM an 18 GB U2W 10k RPM -IBM 2 18 GB U160 10k RPM -IBM a Pioneer 305s 10x/40x Slot-Load DVD Ultra-SCSI a Plextor 12x10x32s CDRW Ultra-SCSI all on an Adaptec 39160 Dual-channel Ultra 160 SCSI controller will that do for now? Oh, and of course, an Enermax 465 with the fans replaced with Panaflos. I'll skip out on the 15k RPM...maybe do that this winter or something when I need an upgrade to tide me over.

Mt. Zion, IL. Just a stone's throw for this sh*thole that is known as Decatur -

I have a GF2 GTS, and a 1.466 ghz Tbird after OC but I just went out and bought a V3 3500 for 30 bucks. shipped. gonna use it in a Linux box for my TV. the Voodoo 3 is a card that everyone should have, if only as a spare. it's a robust card with many MANY drivers available to it, and tons of tweaks for it as well.
-
I just got Voodoo3 3500 for 30 bucks..but it doesn't come with drivers or the software. I need to know if anyone can send an iso my way of the software for the CD.
-
IL I meant on an FTP or something ISO or better yet, Zip file. I have cable, so it'd be a quick download.

Personally, I was at the Sheraton Inn in Bloomington, IL, pissed off that I was missing the debut of the pictures... but happy, since I was Admining at a LAN party -
I'm going to be getting a new mouse before long... Wondering what everyone here regards as the best mouse. I've had an Intellimouse Explorer, the non-neutered intellimouse, the logitech optical wheel mouse, the wireless mouseman, and am currently using a Boomslang 2000. The ones I'm looking at now are 1. Mouseman optical (Logitech) 2. Intellimouse Explorer (Microsoft) 3. Cordless Mouseman Optical (logitech)(preorder only, right now) the cordless mouseman optical would be great, but it's only 800 DPI. I LIKE sensitive mice...which is why the Boomslang is great(2000dpi!) however, razer is going under....so I don't want to get a new one and risk no warranty. Anyone have any ideas, thoughts, etc.
-
I used the Logitech Marble FX..and loved it if I were in the market for a trackball, I'd be getting the new wireless FX...but I prefer a mouse for gaming(thouch I could turn around faster with the trackball, I can't circle strafe as well)

I've made mention of the Faraday Systems ColdForge AA-15 a few pages back. Tomorrow, 4/6/01 , is Cold Friday. Sadly, it's not yet set for final release, but the final(?) prototype is done and has been shipped. New pictures of the ColdForge will be posted at www.hardforum.com (the forums of [H]ardOCP) in the "Cool Cases" section by Stiltner . If you're as interested as I am in this uuber-kickass case, then..well...there's the latest info.

I'm trying to run a dedicated Q3A server(for testing purposes) with this: K6-2 333 64 mb RAM ATI MACH64 2mb vid card(or SIS 4 mb if I do onboard video) the Ati card does NOT have openGL support...which Quake3 is requiring to run(or so it says) anyone know of a workaround so that I may run this dedicated server?? FPS doesn't matter, just that I can start the server.

I loved the MS intellimouse...and if it weren't for the extra sensitivity of the BS2k, I'd still be using it. but as it was, it was a free trade for a year old MS IE for a 2 week old BS2k I hadn;t heard about logitech buying the razer mice. I'd love for that to be true...because I like the BS2k -MORE- than than the IE. it's more comfortable for me, actually... the rubbery feel is a lot nicer than the smooth plastic of the IE.
-
don't have a Voodoo1 of the PCI I have, I have: ATI MACH 64 2mb Cirrus Logic 1mb Sadly, the next card is an AGP ATI Xpert 128 that I'm trying to sell

It is real, but it was tried in Canada. it didn't pass. the US hasn't tried it, and would be not pass anyway(anyone who passed it would not get voted into office again). besides, the US government doesn't control email directly... they'd have to charge the ISPs.. who would charge us who would find other sources. it won't happen while I'm alive, I'm sure.

April Fools! I remember reading this a couple years ago actually, that's from Canada(you can tell from the codenumber of the bill), renamed for the USA. They tried to pass it I believe it failed
