Great !!! Thank you ! Where is the url address ?

There was supposed to be there even an Digital Alpha cpu support for win64 which was dumped many months ago. With the lack of support by then Digital now Compaq, the platform choices for win64 are Pentium V?, AMD x86 64, some else out there ?
-
Well mostly depends on your video drivers. I cannot make it sleep and resume without probs in Win2k, it does however in Win98.

Go for a SOYO the most reliable and overclockable (less expensive than ASUS). What was the ASUS is now SOYO.

Kool, finally we will not have to steal money from others in order to buy new RAM memory..... -
hey man I have trouble already when i dont defragment the harddisk recording at 4x or when the harddisk is almost full. Should you defragment the disk first and then if there is no relief, slow down at 4X.
-
No need to go to "l'enfer". Press and shift until the disc stop spinning, a few seconds really 15-20.

SOYO 6VBA dual boot Win2k pro and Willenium. A few games refuse to work right on ME. Work better in Win2k. It's not a problem with the chipset VIA. It's the game who dares to be called OS WinME. It's fast as heck.

Did not your mommy told you to not mix up UDMA66 and UDMA33 in to the same channel ? If possible in order to avoid errors, the UDMA66 it's recomended to work only with another UDMA66 drive. And stay away from HP writers, coaster factories...

Well, does not destroy the win2k loader, but with games hangs more than me drunk on friday night Deus Ex hangs for sound issues. But in win2k runs cool (software mode). Heck, do i have to go back ir order to play again ? WinMe my ---

ComputerMan replied to rlculver's topic in Software
I dont know about SP1, but Deus Ex, works better in win2k than in winme OEM (don't ask), it's doesnt hangs for sound drivers issues. Even if is on software mode. Dont even try it in D3D or OpenGL it will be trashing the disk about 20 minutes and will still not load.... slow as heck but software mode is ok. -
Too bad I cant run Fireburner on win2k !

Sorry, people I got excited when I wet my pants after my first sucessful overclock on my PII333.. all data is involuntarily over-redundant. Typical of a techno-junkie like me. I love to study and project future outcomes so I can almost have the most of the hardware in the future. What else do you expect from someone who build his own hi-fi hi-power amplifiers and loudspeaker sets, yeah I like it that way.. Sorry about the shoot out, I apology to your dog, and to your aliens.... -

Ok next time I swear I shutup the f/ck up !!!! So I read, read, read, and nothing else, so if somebody wants help.... there are many people better than me right ? Is that "what you" mean ? Don't you, don't you... NiN new video title here. Well I hope you can sleep at nights, alone with your dog...., I hope you get kidnapped by aliens, and they make you all the tests they want to do to you.... OK-OK enough day dreaming, if trying to help is a big problem here then I quit dammit !!!! -
I don't know yet why but the old HP i7200 had a year and a half, and gave me about 10-12 coasters during his short buggy life, now I changed to another brand, (cheaper-faster-zero probs), and done. I will never buy any HP cd-writer any more. And no, I'm not a cd factory, just a back-up for month....

-=[ Don't overclock and complain later about crashes, warning technically explicit, close your eyes before, sensitive persons do not read, it cause overrun of your brain, seasick etc ]=- Yes, you are forcing way over the limit the second level cache that the line PII is runing at max 450Mhz/225MHz or 4.4ns, expected to work right at 500MHz/250Mhz or 4ns nothing more than that will work right. That's why I bought a year a go a PII333MHz the cache was running at 5.98ns, which has a multiplier of 5 (5 x 66Mhz), so if i run at 5 x 100Mhz no probs ( 4.0ns ). The cache lucky me, is the same used on the PII 450MHz 4.44ns or a it's a bit more fast in order to work at 4.44ns. Thats why my overclock works right. You are on 3.87ns !!!! Seems a little more, but is not. And you are way over the cache limits. The cache for the line PII333-450, will not go under 4.0ns without fail or miss data. Go back now or you will get a cache burning and a in little time will be useless. [This message has been edited by ComputerMan (edited 06 July 2000).] -
No the real funny thing is that he does not uses any digital output cable....... and works....

When you cannot install or have problems installing software: When I tried to install Adaptec drivers for the cd-r, it was zeroing the size of the new files, and when I reboot, BSOD. What file system are you using ? I suppose that the main board handle ATA66. Beware of the FAT 4Gyga disk limit.
-
Maybe there are the multipliers on BIOS, but did tried if they work ? You see the Socketed PIII is absolutely multiplier locked, unless you are on a sloket board and like to play with the B21 A14 pins in order to have 133MHz FSB, if your PIII is already 133 FSB that's bad news..... it will stay so unless you love to run the memory out of spec at 150-166 FSB... instead of burning up your system wait, and enjoy the 700MHz, 'cause I have slow mo' PII333MHz....
-
By the way if have an AGP, try not to use the slot 1 of the pci..
-
Dynamic disk means that the disk is so variable that no one else than the Win2k can read, write, format.... got the idea ?
-
Always when you change a hardware device like video, mother, hard disk of course you *must* reinstall of living the heck of crashing for using the wrong drivers....
-
Well even the SB card used irq 11, but if you can use the new drivers from Creative, there is a tiny program to switch the irq from the sound card it self, in my opinion you have 3 devices using the irq 11, cause the SB had the irq hardwired unless re-programmed....
