Hi all, Having recently been having problems with running Norton Anti Virus on Windows 2000 Professional (crashing etc), I decided to install the FREE Anti Virus InoculateIT Personal Edition - This reports a virus in my Temporary Internet files containing the "PeaceKeeper" virus. I then decided to install Norton which at the moment is working fine. Norton does not detect this virus even with the most up-to-date virus defination files. WHO do you believe!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Personally I would beleve Norton More and lastly - I have looked at Network Associates site and there is no information regarding this particular virus!!!!!!

But just the other day, my icons all went to 16 / 256 colour icons, although my actual desktop was running at 16 bit colour (high colour). I tried reinstalling drivers, changing refresh rates and deleteing the icon cache, but still no luck. Please someone help me!!!! thanks Robert Culver rlculver@yifan.net

Specfic an IP Address for each (First machine 192.168.0.1 - Second machine 192.168.0.2 etc). 3. Set up user / guest accounts on the win2k machine. Add themas local users. 4. Get updated drivers for your NIC cards for win2k / win98. 5. - Make sure there are no conflicts with the IRQ's on the network. 5. - E-mail me at rlculver@yifan.net or ICQ me - 68119581. Dear all, I have a networking problem. I have given each user of the network guest access to my win200 2k pro machine. All the other PC's are using Windows 98. When one of the win98 machines accesses my computer (win2k) via the network, they are allowed access, although when another machine tries to access it, the following message is displayed: - "\\Robert (win2k machine) is not accessible - This device does not exist on the network". That goes for all the other machines, expect the first machine which accessed me on the network. Please help some one . Please Note - I am able to access all the machines on the network with no problems (windows 2000 machine). Thanks ------------------ RObert Culver IT Student
