I am running a version of AOL that works with my Windows 2000 setup. A friend got it for me so I don't know where to get it.

I noticed that the Live! puts out a lot more juice than other cards such as the Quadzilla. I keep the Live's volume setting really low to prevent distortion. BacMan

I have the the standard version of the V6800 and I am using the NVidia 5.17 drivers. UT in D3D is suffering from minor flickering even with V-Sync enabled, same as with Homeworld. Haven't tried OpenGL yet. Let me know what you decide. Good to know it is not just me.

I am using NetZero as my dialup and one of the settings for the properties for the connection is to show the system tray icon. I like having it on so I can see when I am sending and receiving data. Now, if I am connected I can enable it, but once I disconnect and then reconnect I have to go back in an re-enable the system tray icon. I believe I had this working once. Does anyone know why Windows2K isn't saving this setting? kjordan2001, I also have the Quadzilla, but I have not installed those drivers. In general I have been hesitant to install any new drivers on Windows 2K since they tend to make things worse. I currently have only 2 speakers and they are working fine. My only problem is the joystick port. I can't get Windows to recognize my sidewinders. Is this working for you? Perhaps I will try to Montego drivers soon. rolandry, I was driving myself crazy with this last night. My system kept restarting and for some reason I couldn't even get my system up in safe mode! This morning I got my system up with one of the safe mode options, but didn't have achange to uninstall directCD cause I had to leave for work. I thought it might have had to do with a firmware upgrade, but I guess not. I also have McAfee installed and I don't really care for it anyway. I plan on uninstalling it and going with norton. Palos, I am running UT in Direct3D. You know there is one other problem I seem to be having with not just UT, but also Homeworld. That is that I am getting strange flickering on the screen. I have to do more testing to determine if it is the monitor or the video card, but I will post this problem soon once I know more. I will try running UT in OpenGL and see if it the flickering goes away. BacMan ------------------ "Divided we stand, together we rise" - Fish

I will try the tweaks when I get home tonight. As for purchasing the RAM, it seems as though from the other thread that 256MB total will achieve optimal performance for UT. Thanks for your help, BacMan

I got my new GeForce DDR (previously owned TNT) and began playing UT in 1024*768 with 32bit color, but UT keeps paging. After I explore a level, the paging goes away.
