what build of directx8 are you guys using?

i go from clicking on the game in gamespy to choosing my team in about 30-45 seconds on my win2000pro machine and i only have a p3-550e 256mb ram one of those kick ass ibm 72000 drives and a geforce2 ------------------

if your getting that when the server changes maps on FireArms then its a bug with the mod if your getting it just running you have other problems cause i play hl on win2000 almost every day and the only time i crash is in FireArms all the other mods have worked just fine and so does OpFor and Single player HL

i would have to say my system seem more stable and all the games i have tried have preformed as well as before upgrading i will agree with the sound being better though. in q3 and hl my fps is probably the same

yes this is a known issue and i dont think much can be done yet. one time i did see that someone had ajusted the memory information on a dos shortcut and that fix the info i would suggest you check out www.planethalflife.com or server.couner-strike.net

i dont seem to have any luck with any of the newer versions of the the w2k drivers on my Viper770u. all the 2d apps seem to work fine but when i start up halflife either i get a black screen or with the newest 5.16 all i get is like 30fps when i normally get 80+ p3-550e o/c 733 TnT2u viper770u 256mb ram soyo 6ba+iv mobo
