Hello I installed MSN on my system, it installed ok but when ever i tried to use it the DR Watson blue screen came up and shut the aplication down. Im running NT 4.0 service pack 6a with Netscape 4 7. Any help would be appreciated I know I instaled the correct version. Thanks.

Hello can anyone out there help me Microsoft can't seem to. My system was running fine until 2 weeks ago all of a sudden i start getting these memory dumps. They only happen when i'm on the internet, sometime i can go for days with no problems then it will start. I have'nt added any new hardware latly, and if I do I allways add SP 6A after. If I was going to try and pinpoint the problem I would say it started around the time I joined yahoo chat. Microsoft dos'nt seem to think it's the problem. Any help would be greatfully appreciated. My graphics card is a Matrox G40O. I have been running the card for several months with no problems. Could a chat applet cause this problem? For some reason I think the MDs started aroud the time i started yahoo. I can't say for sure. i know this is a tought one because there are so many things that can cause this. As far as the browser is concerned I have always used Netscape with now problems. Thanks

Sorry about that Four and Twenty. Browser Netscape 7.2 I connect through the phoneline The only apps i run when surfing is Norton 2000 antivirus which has been on my system for several months, with no problems Thanks

Hi I just started a new ISP, and I keep loosing my connection to their server. I have no problem connecting,and everythings ok as long as I keep moving from site to site but as soon as I stop to read a page for a few minutes I get disconected. I'v tried their tech support several times but no improvement. I'v heard there's a way of getting Netscape to check for e mails every couple of minutes so the server thinks there is activity,and wou'nt shut down. Any help is appreciated thanks.

You will have to excuse me but I don't understand what all of the fuss is about having the fastest prossessor. For most of us a 600 pent is more than sufficiant. Who needs a gig prossessor or two 1 gig prossessors, all's were doing is making Intel a wealther companie than it already is. I mean lets face it unless your doing a lot of high end cad or graphics you don't need it If you realy want speed keep your 5 or 600 mhz prosessor and through in a 7200 rpm harddrive and watch how much faster your system is,and that hard drive will last you a long time. Just thought i'd through my .02 cents in for what its worth.

Yes I was into suping up old car, I had a 72 Lamans Sport this thing kicked ass,but to get it to kick ass it cost me a kings ransom,when it came time to sell it I got about 10% of what I put in it. I guess the point I was trying to make is what is the cut off point? I guess its up to the individual, if you can afford to go out and spend big bucks just to have the latest and it puts a smile on your face then go for it, but if its putting you in the poor house then maby its time to take a step back and take another look. Hello. I have a Viewsonic Profesional CRT Monitor that has a supper sharp picture, I could'nt imagen a picture any sharper. So what is the deal on these flat panel screen that cost a Kings ransome to by. Are the realy that much better? Do you get the same amount of viewing space with an 18 inch FP AS AN 21 inch crt? If there's any one out there who has an opinion on this I would be interested in hearing it. Thanks for the response in my previos post.

Damien. I have a Viewsonic 19 inch with a viewing area of 18, the screen is flaT. With an 18 inch flat panel they say you have a viewing area equal to a 21 inch. How is that possible????

JVail I was under the impression tha the over all performance gain by dual prosessors is only about 10 to 15%. not a lot of bang for the larg amount of extra money. Your right, it does come in hand when you do a lot of multi tasks, but unless you some big time multi tasks and i'm not talking about doing AutoCad and word at the same time your wasting your money, that's the point I was trying to make. Ps Dell is now offering the 1 gig pross on their workstations. And as far as fraging my ass, your probably right, but when I get my new Dell workstation with twin gig prossessors you'll be the one who's ass gets fraged. O no see what you'v done to me. HI i'm currently running NT 4.0 my system end would like to install win 98 on the same hard drive. I have been told by some that you cannot install 98 after NT, WIN 98 should have been installed first. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks

I hear what your saying but would you not get just as big of a performance boost by spending a hundred or so dollars on a hard drive that spins at 7200 than spending 3,4or 5 times that on the latest prosessor. Like Dameien said the system consits of more than just the processor, the right mother doard, ram, hard drive and video card will will make a 500 pent screem. Like my machien. Hell my sister has a little 266 that just rocks.

I have a HP printer and every time I print somthing off the web while i'm on line I loose my connection to the web. I'm running NT 4.0 SP 6A with 256 of ram. This never happend to me on win 95,98. I have the latest drivers for my printer. Any help would be appresiated. Thanks
