Hey thank you, Exorcist! I downloaded winjar and I love it! I then found the other files, and created an exe file just as you said. All went perfectly, except that won.net won't let me play multiplayer anymore because it says my executable is "out of date" or then it says I'm using a different "protocol"...... LOL..... Maybe it will work after the patch is disseminated to the masses? Perhaps Won just doesn't recognize my patch yet.

I just did the winmag benchmarks afer installing DX8.0 and my D3D Primary benchmarks are down considerably compared to Dx7, but all else seems fine and I notice no change in my system. Perhaps a tweak or two in the final will correct that too. I'm new, Hi all! Tamara

I downloaded the patch, in zip form, and then unzipped it to a neutral folder, awaiting an exe file or something. How do I install this patch? Do I merely unzip it into the Half Life/Valve folder or what? Sorry to be so dumb. Thanks Tamara
