  1. Hello everyone... I just recived my new computer two days ago and ever since I've had one killer headache... This system is a AMD Athlon 850 running on a ASUS K7V-RM Motherboard and it REFUSES to allow me to use my Matrox Millinnium G-400 MAX Dual Head video card. I have tried both Windows 2000 (My Primary Platform) and Windows 98 and have problems on both. Under Windows 2000 the sytem will POST and proceed to the "Loading Windows 2000 Professional" screen before going black and rebooting, never even reaching the Windows Login or Desktop. Under Windows 98 (SE) the system will POST, Boot into Windows and then have a crash of any program that attempts to load beyond Explorer. Frustrated, I took out the card and tested it in my old system, (Intel P3-450, AOPEN AX6BC-PRO GOLD) and to my surprise the card functioned without Flaw under both Operating Systems... I have now tried (And am using it to post) a 3DFX Voodoo 3 2000 PCI video card and it operates without problems. I have a feeling this is an AGP related issue and I'm wondering if I should just bite the bullet and go purchase a more reliable (AOPEN) motherboard or does someone out there have a solution for this problem... I've posted detailed system information below... Thanks again to anyone who can help...
