Hey... Peice of crap. Everytime I try to run a dvd on win2k with my msi mobo ( via chipset) with 5.1 sound w/ my creative dxr-3 decoder card my computer freezes. NOW everytime I run the proram I get a kernel error and a big fat memory dump. Fun stuff. usually it just crashes as soon as the decoder kicks in with sound. It gets all jumpy... like its sucking processor mega and then it freezes. what am i to do? we all know writing the manufacturer and begging for drivers for win2k is fruitless... I assume you are using direct sound for the audio out on the winamp plugins list. Just use regular wave outand it will solve your problem. The actual quality of the Pc-Encore blows. THe video isnt sharp at all. In my opinion at least. So... since I bought it I'm hoping their support kicks ass. The creative one ( see previous post) crashes my computer. Sucks. Win DVD 2000 looks AMAZING. But who wants prologic. Hmm running with a single processor i get 88fps at 1024 32 bit everything cranked. I was just saying that running at higher resolution does basically the same thing as fsaa. Colors look better at high resolutions, at least they do to me. I bet 5$ that says I get better frame rates with my Gf2 gts, AND I bet it looks just as good as you oversized waste of silicon voodoo 5. Hmm Two 3dfx chips = 800x600 rez (still see jaggies) One Nvdia chip = 1600x1200/2058x1536 ( think) and no jaggies. Plus better framerate. I think all you 3dfx lovers are just trying to defend the fact that your personal ignorance and idiocy forced you to buy a 3dfx card. Now you are stuck with it. I have Creative DVD 12x and a hardware decoder card. Why when I have a text box or anything for that matter over the dvd window is it all F*cked up? Why On earth is this still an issue. I bought a voodoo 5 awhile ago, it blew dick. I could not get respectable frame rates at 1280x1024 in quake 3 with an athlon 650, 128 ram. Pathetic. I took it back and got the Creative GF 2 annilhator pro. I overclocked it and whamo hello here I am running at 1600x1200. As far as I know I'd rather run at 1600 rez than have fsa at 800x600. Hey, are there any GOOD dual p3 motherboards out there that support a gigahertz besides that abit vp6? I hate abit after my current experience with my bx133 raid. It wouldn't even run my gighz processor even with a bios update. Peice of crap. Then it ran in pio instead of dma... aeh no more abit. Suggestions? -Super

I was getting that same pio crap when I was trying to run raid on my abit bx133 motherboard, a 60 gig striping raid partition took like 6 hours to format or something. I finally found out it was in pio. The ata 100 raid controller is screwed up I think, now the agp slot doesnt work NOW I am on my gf's pc.... celeron 500... compaq...win 98, coough weeeze -Super

Anyone running raid on here? I cannot get it to work. I have the abit bx133 mobo... I have 2 new maxtor 30 gig drives... anything that tries to access the "raid" drive of 60 gig goes IMMENSELY slow... like, the mouse jumps all over. formatting takes hours the operating systems takes years to load, and when it does, it doesnt work. Any ideas? -Kris

Not to mention.... anytime the drive is accessed in dos... the screen flashes, like in fdisk, it stops at verifying drive integrity 0% and whenever I hit a key it flashes 3 times.... grrr
