I have had Both the final version of Me and a beta version. I have foiund that Me Final was less stable than the Beta .. " dont ask me why " it would crash my Half Life server 7 outta 10 times and freeze up while doing little things.. The major Difference in Me is internal support for IEEE and various Video enhancements.. i had the final running for about a month. and after i got fed up with it i reinstalled Win 2k ... i think the reason the Beta was more stable was that it wasnt tweaked for speed or anything .. i figure the Final Edition compromises stability for speed... but those are my thought on it : ) Sparkhard

Hey, i am not to sure about win NT ,,, but i do know that you can use them on Win2000.. I have a few friends that have a Pioneer DVD player ,,, however they arent on a SCSI and win NT 4.0 ,,,, i dont think the fact that they are on a SCSI has anything to do with it... try going to www.windrivers.com and see if you can find some drivers there.... if not ,, i guess you hafta wait like a lot of us for drivers ....

Thats all part of being a 3dfx owner ... join the rest of the crowd they arte always leaving there obsolescent costomers in the dark when it comes to new drivers ..... here are some but they are BETA so they might not work as well or not at all so leave me a message and let me know how they work..... Good Luck,, Sparkhard

i had a problem with windows 2000 picking up my modem.... i thought it was a driver prob. b/c i didnt have the drivers but it turns out that after finding the drivers the problem still remains at the PCI,,,, when i start windows it always detects the new hardware the hardware that ir finds is "PCI simple communications port" it looks for drivers but it never finds them. I tell it to disable the device and check it when windows starts. It detects it every time windows starts but never finds a driver ... it is listed as an Other device in my device manager... i have never heard of a driver for a PCI port ,,but what do i know ,, if anyone has ever encountered this prob. please let me know....... Thanks, Sparkhard

I have win 2000 and my PCI controler has a "?" on it. It says that i need top update the drivers for this. I also notice that my modem is completly undetected. I think i need to d/l drivers for my modem and this will fix the PCI prob to . but i have a Conexant SoftK 56 PCI and when i goto the Conexant site they say that they only make the cipset on the modem and that i have to goto the modem Manufacturer to get the Driver, if anyone can help i would me very thankful

I have win2k installed on my fat32 partition and i have no trouble at all.. however, i would assume that win2k has convered it to NTFS and is using that format, and i would not recomend changing the File system on an existing OS.. i would uninstall it and then make it FAT32 then reinstall win2k,, but you may want to leave it as a NTFS it has its benefits,, oh and ummmm.... you didnt by any chance have a problem with windows 2k and a PCI driver did you? read my thread and see what you think :-)
