Hello. I've been using XP for about a month now. There's one thing I'd like to know...again. Whenever I boot up XP the Norton Internet Security alarms that "svchost is trying to access the internet" which I always let it not. My internet connection is CATV and I don't run any file server or something. I've looked MS online support and found something about svchost.exe but it doesn't have the answer of my question. Could anybody tell me whether I should let it access or not? Any advices appriciated. Thanks.

Hi. I've read some systems with XP and nVIDIA combo have this problem. The source tells me disabling "NVIDIA Driver Helper Service" might solve it. Hope this would work.

Thanks DosFreak. No. I have used neither of softs you mentioned. One curious thing is these files have same time stamps, 07/14/1997. It seems a bit odd 'cause I installed XP recently. Is it possible it has something to do with some kind of virus? Hi. I have my PC set up in duel boot with 98 and XP, each on C: and E: respectively. I have tons of files,whose extension is 000, on my E:. My question is what are these files for and could I delete them to save HD space? Thank you in advence.

Hi.I've got a newbie kinda question. Now I'm running win98 and win2k in dual boot,which is very stable as for the latter OS. If I'd chosen the upgrade installation, would it take on configurations then I could use most of softs without reinstalling? If so, how much free space will be needed on the drive which win2k is already installed? Or is it safer bet to newly insall it on different partition? If this is the case, is it possible to make triple boot system(98,2000,XP)? Sorry for many questions, but my dad told me 'A man becomes learned by asking questions.':-)

Hello, JBrave715. I ordered XP. It'll be due this coming 16th here in Japan. Until then I can't see if XP had fixed this problem. I hope so, because it costs me more than $130, which is a lot money especialy when you're jobless.:-) Thank you for your adviece anyway.

I've got an error message like this. Error creating process <setup\_SETUP.EXE> Reason.couldn't find the file I've tried several versions and always been rejected. I'm sure I logged in as Administrator. What's wrong???

Thank you JBrave715 Whenever I tried to install SW Game Controller Software(3.02), I got Error and couldn't fininsh the setup. I've thought this is always the case with Win2k and FF wheel. Could you tell me how you did it? Or did I miss anything?

Hi,people. I have a problem with my ff wheel when running under Win2k. I can use it but force feedback never works. I wonder if new M$ XP has solved the issue. I can't afford new USB prot version ff wheel. Any information I'll appreciate. Thanx.

Hello. I'm having the similar problems since I'd changed V3 3000 with new Creative GTS2. At first I couldn't run my favorit games. Then I changed my AGP setting in the BIOS,AGP size 64 to 16 MB, now it looks stable. Still cann't get rid of glitching problem though. I hope this will help. sorry about inadequite English.
