Help, I recently installed a HP 9310i CDRW on 2k and everything seemed ok with the installion of Adaptec 4.02c. I then went to use CDRWIN and it came back with the usual aspi errors. I dug around and found the latest aspi drivers installed them, tested them and everything seemed wonderful with the world.
I then went to burn a music CD using Adaptec and this is where the problems begin.
I was getting error messages for the aspi driver and CMB error meesages. I could not burn a single song. So I went to the usual places: adaptec and HP website looking for a fix. I thought I had found the fix. It was a registry tweak called:
"fix_uninst_ecdc_w2k.reg"
I followed the instructions to the letter and now I cannot see any of my CD Drives. I can see them in Device manager but it says
"This device is not working properly because Windows cannot load the drivers required for this device. (Code 31)"
Any help would be much appreciated.
Thanks
Paul
