Hi folks, hope I can get some information from ya.. here is the problem I am having.. My CD RW says it is not a read/write cd? Have all the drivers that I can think of latest ones from adaptec 4.02 etc.. HP Thi is what it says when I try to move a file from one folder to my CD RW drive. "Cant copy xxx file -files on this CD-ROM drive are read-only". you cannot copy or move files to this cd rom drive.. if I try to save say a text file to my cd rw.. this is the message you do not have permissons to open this file( i am not trying to open one anyhow trying to save it to my cdrw) see the owner of the file or an admin to obtain perm. I am set as admin on the PC...No clue would love some help on this..thanks oh... and it works fine when I burn a cd with adaptec.. just cant drag/drop a darn file or save a file to it... got it.. reinstalled direct cd for the 6th time it works now... thanks again

fair enough.. yes to using win 2k it's ez cd ver 4.02 and direct cd 3.01 yes also on it's own thanks for the quick reply too!
