Separate partitions !!!!! You will be bummed. I had driver problems out the ying-yang. Finally broke down and got another small hard drive. Works much better now. My vid used to look better in winme but nvidias win2k drivers have finally caught up and I see no difference now.. Good luck SplEEb

I have a 1 way cable (down) connect dial-up 56k (up). I suppose that router wont work for me cause I have to dial-up. Can anyone confirm this cause I cant get Internet connection sharing to work for this config. I have an external modem which contains the phone modem as well as the cable modem and connects to pc thru nic. I have to specify dns and connect to the ext modem thru gateway. (connection manager software is selfcontained in the external modem. Anybody ever get this crap to share connection? This is the fastest connect available to me so its this or 56k all the way. For me the only solution to a myriad of software problems is dual booting winme and 2k. ASPI works flawlessly on my P3 733 128ram sblive 3dprophet 64megddr gforce2, linksys nic, maxtor 20g 7200rpm HD, Dlink nic. My machine was made with win2k and winme in mind. Well now that I have this installed and it runs like a 3 legged dog with a kickstand, How the helk do I uninstall. SplEEb

I figured out why it locked up when connecting to internet server, Firewall. Fixed. But I dont know dos so not sure I know or could do it how u say. Just wondering if the way I installed could be reason it runs like DooDoo on a VooDoo. And I agree I deffinitley play GLQuake or not at all. But this is mostly for my son who loves Q1 and since I switched to Win2k he has been out of luck and still is basicly. Thanks fellows SplEEb

That annoying feature of zone alarm with games that run full screen can be fixed like this. An example for me was Quake1, when trying to connect to an internet server it just froze cause I couldnt see the prompt from zone alarm to allow access. After getting out of quake I loaded the ZA control panel click programs tab and saw Quake 1 but with no boxes checked cause I couldnt answer the prompt, but u can check the boxes allow access to internet and allow to run as a server. Then it will work next time.

Well I got it to install using the install.bat. But it runs like crapola. Got lines of wrong textures and wavey. Not playable. But I tried to go online to play and total complete lockup. Not sure if its worth the effort. SplEEb

Will Quake1 play on win2k, I get Message: cannot install quake for dos. Is there a trick. SplEEb
