    New Liveware, same old problems

I see people still having problems because of ACPI... If ACPI is turned on then the PCI and other devices are sharing resources which is making SBlive go crazy. Do you notice that your sound card burps and pops when other kinds of I/O are happenning? Remember, the Video card, PCI network card, etc are all I/O. Gluck.

    New Liveware, same old problems

I had the same snap and pops in those games etc.. I fixed it with by turning off ACPI which was forcing the IRQs to share. If you think this might be your problem.. search the archives for ACPI and IRQ sharing. It works! It works! *Crash* Damn.....

    Choppy sound in games !

Its probably the ACPI and SMP that are doing it. If your using ACPI and have your IRQs sharing then you should disable it. You can find instructions by searchin the forum. It involves changing your computer type to standard.

    LiveWare! Driver update for win2k.

My SBlive works great too in almost all circumstances. There are only a few games such as (Sims, Shogun,ST Armada,Deus Ex, and others) that I had to turn off Hardware acceleration in order to get to work. I think that if you never play any of these games, you would never see any of the problems. This isnt even talking about the problems SBlive has with IRQ sharing and ACPI. EAX doesnt work either even if your game doesnt crash with it turned on. So far LW3 is working great. Anyone tried using ACPI and IRQ sharing? Im wondering if these drivers finally fixed that.:eek
