man i've gotten mine to 30mbs. Also, Java isn't included with it, thats an 8mb download. With IE you get it in about 10mbs, with netscape you need about 13mbs. Here is my mem usage: http://loki.quadrent.net/netscape.jpg

i had the exact same problem, all i did was upgrade my drivers(3dfx voodoo3) and upgrade ut to 436 and all gone.

man netscape 6 final is terrible, sooooo slow, images don't load, tables keep on going, memory usage gets above 20mbs. Now IE, dynamic browser, fast rendering, below 15 always. IE is my browser for sure.

try tactical ops for ut, its amazing. I can't get enough of it.

well that us true, but i ran a test recently. I played Star Wars Ep.1 racer, and guess what...it ran perfectly fine. I really don't know what it is. But it is pissing me off!

hey i'm using win2k with sp1 installed, and I have a 3dfx voodoo3 2k. Okay now my problem, i tried playing metal gear solid, but all i got was the menu screen and when the game finally loaded, w/o the intro, it was sooooooooo choppy. At first I thought it was the game, so I said okay for get about this. Then I tried monkey island 4, and the same thing, but this time, all I get is a black screen and if i'm lucky I get something on the screen. I play ut and diablo2 with no problems, and I use glide for both ut and diablo2, but for mgs and mi4 I used direct x and for mi4 opengl. Please help.

well i don't know about you guys but aoe2 worked on my system perfectly, same with ut

all i can say is wmp7 is a huge resource hog, that might be the problem. When I had it, oh man was it bad.

I have some how lost the 3 web view images that are in the web folder in the windows dir, can somebody send them too me. Thanks, lokifx@yahoo.com

update: I did get my cd working thanks to DosFreak. I stalled the files and now everything works.

I have wmp7 installed on my system, just today I wanted to rip some music from a cd, and convert it to mp3 format. I was using AudioCatalyst to convert my music, but it dosen't detect a cd rom drive, WMP7 does detect a drive. Does anybody know what to do??

i had to remove ie5.5 cause it took over a minute to load a simple html page, i am now running ie5.01sp1 which much much more reliable than 5.5
