i've installed it and it works for me. try downloading the 1.1 patch and see if that works. have u got games compatibility patch installed or SP1?

i have an Acer CRW8432IA and i have the same software as you. so far i have created 2 CDs one data the other a audio and haven't encounted any problems yet on win2k. haven't actually tried using my rewrite compatibilities but i think it would work. but the problem i have is that win98 recognises the drive but it crashes when i try opening 'my computer' or windows explorer as i was dual booting win98 and win2k.

i checked the ntcompatible games list if RCT was supported on W2k all went well when i installed the game but when it came to play it a message popped up: "Sorry, not supported on NT" don't get me wrong but the list said it installed well and could run.

don't forget that when u install 98 after NT u will not be able to boot to NT anymore and install it would boot straight to NT, so what u have to do is boot ur computer (once u have installed 98) with the NT setup disks and just choose the REPAIR isntallation and it would put a boot menu for u next time u boot ur computer

if ur 3 OSes have their own partitions then u can just format the drive where win2k is (providing that it isn't on ur boot drive) then goto winme and put ur win2k CD and choose to have a clean install- should work

i can run the game fine without the patch :)on win2k

all the physics and that r stuffed up with the 1.25 patch. what also makes me really pissed off is that when up[censored] to 1.25, quake3's graphics were HORRIBLE- the patch really stuffed the game for me on my computer.

goto add/remove programs and add/remove IE5 and an option would come up> just click on the Repair option

i can't remember exactly remember how much disk sapce it takes up but it is bewteen 250 and 500 MB which i think is not that much considering how much time it takes to install everything if ur windows ystem stuffs up. but u can configure how much goback can use up.

is there any way around deleting system files? as whenever i try to delete or remove files (like *.dll) windows says 'this file is in use...'

there shouldn't be any problems deleting *.tmp files but make sure u don't delete backup files that word makes- just incase ur computer crached when on ur document. that .tmp file saved me hours of work when my comp crashed

i know DDR RAM is faster than SD RAM but is it really worth ur money to buy DDR RAM- just becasue its faster? i heard it is heaps more expensive but little performance improvement.
