im tossing up between getting an AMD XP 2800+/3000 or a Intel P4 2.4G, which is better? i know that the athlon outperforms the "faster" P4 even though the clock speed isnt as fast but i want to know if speed over performance is best or vice versa?? thanks

well i have decided to get the intel pentium 4 2.66Ghz simply because of intel's quality products. i am mainly going to use the system for gaming r there any reviews i can find about the 2.66 processor?

does the P4 2.66GHz processor contain hyper threading technology?? when does Intel start adding HT technology into its processors?

where can i download the full install of directx 9.0a? i dont want to use microsoft's webinstall program which makes u download the files each time u want to install directx. i've got a network which i want install directx on each machine without having to download the files again. thanks. btw does anybody know a similar link to download winxp sp1?

before printing anything with IE u should goto File -> Print Preview... this gets rid of all the unecessary stuff when printing

wat do u mean by trying to "add" the printer? r u able to install the drivers and run the printer from one of ur computers? i.e. can u print stuff?

I did try APK's method and found out that the service was not started and so i clicked the option to start the service but the same error still occurs- do i need to restart the computer to let the settings take affect? how do i check the event viewer?

I've had my intellimouse for about a year and now since i've reformatted its been having problems with games. The mouse works fine in windows 2000 but when a run a game the mouse usually continuly clicks the left click button. I get theese problems while playing Soldat and UT 2003. I had previuosly played these games with no probs until now. I've tried installing the latest intellipoint software but have had no success. Any suggestions?

personally i wouldnt use any of the so called utility programs. all you need is a virus scanner. using any other program does more harm than good, it may only be helpful if you install them after a fresh-install of windows. these programs go deep inside the operating system and if one of the programs fail your whole system comes down too. the system utilities that comes with windows are just fine no need for any extra programs (maybe a registry cleaner can help).

neither! don't like norton's firewall for starters i dont know why, i just don't!! as for sygate's firewall it's so stupid: it's supposed to be integrated into sygate's internet connection sharing program but when i installed it, the damn program wouldnt let me connect to the internet until i removed it.

I have ZoneAlarm Pro version 2.6.632 and whenever i right-click the icon in the system tray and click shutdown ZoneAlarm the computer restarts. This only seems to happen when I'm connected to the internet. Any ideas?
