    Tiny Personal Firewall problem

i have version 2.0.15A of the program. the problem is that whenever i try to open it, there comes the error message "Unable to connect to PersfEngine! - error 0x8007274D" - but it seems that the firewall is working, intercepting connections and asking whether to block a program etc. even though i am unable to change the options due to the error. is there any solutions and has anyone received this error b4?

    NortonAV2000 v. 6.0 stops scanning at 16%

this is usually because there are corrupt *.ZIP or compressed files on ur system. what you need to do is to "disable the scanning of compressed files".

    Opera crashes at print preview

Quote: Try visiting the same data through IE, or Netscape just to be sure, but I would guess that to be the blame... Yeah you might be right, IE and Netscape can do it without a problem. My printer is a BJC-5100, maybe downloading new drivers may help.

    Windows Me network problem- Solved

If you are experiencing a slow network while running Windows Me then all you have to do is: install the protocol "Internet Connection Sharing" in WinME. To do this go into Control Panel > Add/Remove Programs > Windows Setup Choose to install "Internet Connection Setting". This will speed up ur network browsing DRAMATICALLY!! PLEASE NOTE that i have posted this message in the wrong forum due to me over reacting and getting a *bit* too excited. Sorry but this will only work on boxes running winme EDIT by clutch Well, now it's in the right forum /EDIT by clutch

XBOX, PS2, Gamecube, Geforce 3 WHICH is better?

With Microsoft, although making consoles is new territory for the software giant, it can barely be described as an underdog with its $US500 million marketing war chest. So far, Xbox tops its competition with hardware grunt. The console is powered by an Intel 733MHz CPU and swims along with 64MB of RAM and the latest GeForce-based video card. Some have criticised it as a glorified PC but Microsoft has taken a "whatever gets the job done" approach: its theoretical performance is double that of the PlayStation 2, not to mention it also has DVD-playback and HDTV support built in. However, a games console is only as good as its games, and if there's any weak link to be found in the Xbox, it's the games. Microsoft doesn't have a flagship title - nothing that screams Xbox in the same way Gran Turismo screams PlayStation 2 or how Mario personifies Nintendo. With time, Xbox's library of quality software is likely to grow if one follows the "if you build it, they will come" mantra.

    Best Win2000 Compatible Multiplayer games

Quake III Arena = 10/10 Half-Life Counter-Strike (and all other mods) = 6/10 - gets extremely boring Unreal Tournament = 3/10 - too slow To the guys making CS the patches/improvements you make: are always too little ,too late.

    Best Anti-virus to use?

i tried AVP and it was the only anti-virus program that took so much of my systems resources everytime i opened a folder. also it has an annoying habit of scanning all the contents of the folder that i try to open so i end up waiting for around 30seconds until it finishes, its even worst when it's a large folder, so i can do my work. another problem with AVP is that it has a very aggravating way of trying to protect your files in real-time: when first testing AVP i used a test virus (eicar) that was zipped inside a certain folder, when i opened this folder a message comes up saying AVP has found a virus and i choose to disinfect it but gave me an error that it couldn't and just closes the message box. I opened this folder again and the same message pops up telling me it has found a virus so i choose the option to delete it but it gave me an error and closes the folder. After that whenever i tried accessing that folder the message comes up again and again and it still couldn't get rid of the file. even when trying to delete that file- it says i wan't allowed because it is infected. i uninstalled AVP to preserve my sanity.
