so far had no luck getting these two games work on win2k pro. Plus nascar revolution i cant even get working on my win98SE lol thats so sad. Sim ThemePark still works i think. i own a voodoo 3 2000 pci video card right now but soon getting a new video card which will be a geforce video card. does anyone know how to get these 2 games working on win2k pro ? or at least one. please reply thanks

is there a way for me to play nascar revoltion and sim theme park on win2k pro? i been trying and tried every fix from that act thing like that has whistler and win2k fixes think it may not think my video card supports Direct 3d or something who knows or maybe it cause i got Direct X 8.0a please reply thanks

Hi Everyone right now the video card i own is a voodoo 3 2000 pci. I know voodoo is sad and was brought out. I am getting a new video card whenever i can get money but i was wondering since i have such a low end video card right now should i just wait a while for the GF 3 to come down in price? and btw how much money will it become cause i sorta dont want to spend anymore than $200 or $250 really inless its worth it. btw does the geforce 3 speed up your system itself or just games really? curious and it supports win2k pro really well right? i may just get a geforce mx or geforce gts , or geforce 2 ultra , who knows dont think no ATI video card. but i think i would go with a Elsa company for a gefocrce card but not sure yet thanks

Ok i want to add something right before you start game you got to choose from direct x or open gl and i tried both on each fix. But i jsut wanted to say in this white little box it says primary display driver and there are no others to choose but that one. jsut making sure you know that just in case its important thanks

One more thing i got a video card. its a voodoo 3 2000 pci so its not like a dont have a D3D video card and nascar revolution works fine under win98SE with it or any other 9x

DosFreak so far i tried each one and could get it to work but one did make it come up and said No D3D card detected. Please install a D3D card to play. that was the ForceDirectDrawEmulation fix that came up with that message. hope i can get it to work someway hehe

Ok well if i can always dual boot with win98SE if it wont work still. Easier way we know but just a pain in the butt way when you want to play just that one or two games lol Dont worry i am sure one day we will figure it out how to get more and more games to work in win2k. thanks btw i did get my twisted metal 2 to work but that worked with MS compat. match update with the compat. mode when you right clicked on shortcut and put run in compat. mode then run in win95 ,98 , or win nt 4.0 layer

Do you think it may work just curious? and when you say by go thru each fix one by one you mean to only have one fix checked at a time and try it each time right? not like 2 checked

hi everyone i have the maxtor 45 gig 7200 rpm , ATA 100 , and < 8.7 ms seek time. the model number is 54610H6. it has three 15 gig platters. Do yall think this was a good Hard drive brought here at U.S for $159.99 ? Or should i get the 60 gig maxtor three 20 gig platter instead or ibm 60 gxp series HD or even WD ? i know its only like gives me in HdTach without advanced size test check cause it freezes up on me when i check it dont ask me why so i cant check it off. it gives me max , 32000 kps about and average 28000 kps about and mininum 19000 kps about i mean its ok but what do yall think ? and access time about 12.9 to 13 ms i turned off that thing AMSET that makes the HD seek time slower. btw is that 40 gig the two 20 gig platter faster than the three 15 gig platter 45 gig ? like is it noticeable? etc btw how do you know if a Hard drive is 20% faster or more or not and what does the line end? like what if the HD is 21 % faster or 22 % faster will you see a difference please reply if you want thanks

IBM HDs are the fastest IDE hard drives all around right? but do you notice the speed difference from let say a maxtor or western digital you buy? and by how much do you notice the speed difference if any? like lets say a 30 gig IBM 75 gxp 7200 rpm ATA 100 2MB buffer, maxtor 30 gig 7200 rpm ATA 100 2MB buffer , Western Digital 30 gig 7200 rpm ATA 100 2MB buffer what would be the fastest , one in the middle and the slowest also which one would get more hotter and make more noise , etc P.S. i know i can get OEM ibm 30 gig 75 gxp as cheap as a maxtor or WD hard drive and it comes with 3 year warranty i think but i sorta want to buy a ibm 30 75gxp HD off of www.ibm.com the retail one to make sure i get my 3 year warranty and everything but not sure what to do yet) please reply thanks

Is the maxtor 60 gig HD 20 gig platters 7200 rpm ATA 100 and < 8.7 ms seek time a lot noticeable faster than the 45 gig 15 gig platter 7200 rpm ATA 100 and < 8.7 ms seek time? i saw on benchmarks the beginning transfer seems somewhat faster from 32 to 38 and end 21 to 22 MB . btw would the 20 gig platter 40 gig HD be faster then the 45 gig one? please reply thanks

i have a 45 gig diamond max 7200 rpm ATA 100 and 8.7 ms maxtor HD got a abit k7a raid mobo btw and got the HD on ide 3 but its not using you know like raid its just using it as another ide channel

Can Windows XP really play dos games in full screen and sound like sound blaster support? Sorta hard to beleive cause why cant win2k do the same thing since its based off the same win2k kernel i think. Do yall think in sp2 or more win2k updates win2k will beable to play dos games in full screen with sound blaster sound support ? and support more games/hardware , etc ? or is windows xp just the plain better OS ? the reason i am asking all of this is because i want 3 of my games that dont work on my win2k pro to work on it cause i hate dual booting with windows 98 BTW how much ram does windows xp need to run well not just good i got 256 mb of sd ram but wondering if i should go higher if i ever went to windows xp home edition or windows xp pro. one more thing how will this product activation thingy work doesnt sound too good. Thinking it will make windows xp not as good as a OS if it didnt have it any more infomation you can give me or suggest about windows xp please tell me and it will be greatly appreicated Thanks
