I got the march Compatibility update and saw what yall were talking about. i tried it on my sim theme park game and so far no luck but i will try it on more of my games to see hope so i hope its not just a waste should get better

i know there got to be a way to make the games work cause nothing is really impossible just takes time. i mean there must be some emulation thing or something to get these games to work its a pain in the butt with dual booting really is espically with small HD

no windows 2k has it now that comp. mode thingy! in march comp. update on windows update for win2k its just like windows xp one you right click on a shortcut of game/app and chose from win95 , 98 , and nt 4.0 but none worked for my games

Well does windows xp have more .dll for the games that like wont work on my win2k pro right now? curious cause people said they got simtheme park and nascar revolution working but not twisted mental 2 working on windows xp. i am curious if windows XP personal or pro. version will be worth to upgrade to from win2k pro ? Like some of the games that didnt work in win2k pro to work in windows XP maybe. Like may nascar revoultion , twisted mental 2, and sim theme park hehe. And if windows XP will really be any faster on anything , etc or will it just be more bloated , slower , use more ram , etc than win2k? please reply thanks

Like when windows xp comes out or is out for a month or longer will that mean more support for win2k like in games , hardware , apps , etc ? curious cause i dont know if i should go to windows xp or not since it has that emulation mode for win95 , and windows nt 4.0 dont know if they will have a free one for win2k or something thanks

my case temp or system temp is now only peaks at 95 F and cpu temp peaks at 109 F which is mainly in gaming. normal use its around 89 to 91 F case temp and cpu temp around 90 to 95 F. is this bad temps? should i have more cooling to lower them more? like maybe a new heatsink/fan for processor or add a System Exhaust Blower in one of my pci or agp slots ? please help thanks btw i added three sunon 80mm 42.5 CFM 36.6dBa fans in my computer one in front of case at bottom which brings cool air in and 2 in the back of case way at top above power supply to take hot air out. when you use the paste can you remove the paste if you ever want to add a new heatsink onto processor or put a new processor end? i am thinking you can And how hard is it to get the retail heatsink/fan off without crushing the processor's core?

oh and btw is it good to have a fan below the power supply in the back taking air out? i dont have one there but i may beable to make 4 holes to put a 80mm fan there thats around where cpu is but i bet a mini orb would do better huh to cool down my processor if i had a cooler processor would my system/case temp lower ?

i have a Abit KT7A Raid Motherboard too but so far no problems but that doesnt mean anything i know. right now it has a old maxtor 8.4 gig DMA 33 5400 rpm on it and i am in win2k pro. i know i need to upgrade my HD and i will But if i added a ibm 75 gxp series 30 gig would i have problems ? like using maybe the raid ide controllers like either ide 3 or 4 just for it to have its own channel or should i put it on ide 1 no matter what cause i know you can use the raid like normal ide controllers and not like raid please reply thanks

wow i didnt have any of those problems yet on my win2k pro i dont think but i do have a old maxtor 8.4 DMA 33 5400 rpm HD right now and i got a voodoo 3 2000 pci video card and even isa sound card but not forever soon getting a pci one i will just have to see hehe like when i get my ibm 75 gxp series 30 gig 7200 rpm ATA/100 HD and pci sound card and nvidia video card i think cause 3dfx isnt going to be making anymore drivers but hey this video card is fine for now. or maybe get a ATI video card with DDR ram who knows just depends on the money i got and stuff i did notice one thing but i think its cause i shouldnt done it when i put my slow old maxtor 8.4 gig ATA 33 on a ATA/100 ide cable by it self on ide 3 or 4 it like lagged or something cause i would get freezes in my system but once i put it on ide 1 it was fine but i read and it said the ide 3 and ide 4 which is raid too is only for ATA 66/100 hehe and ide 1 and ide 2 ATA 33/66/100 so now i know why i think i love my motherboard so far may try Asus if i ever build another maybe but maybe not

but only Hds at ATA66/100 can go on those 2 raid controllers right not CD-RWs , cdrom , etc but i got a ATA 33 maxtor 8.4 gig HD so when i put it on there it was slower like lagged i got to get myself a ibm 30 gig 75 gxp series soon which is like $175 or less but i had to spend $30.50 for cooling case fans to get a good temp so my HD wouldnt burn up hehe well it wont burn it btw right my old ATA 33 maxtor 8.4 HD is on ide 1 cause only ide 1 and 2 support ATA 33/66/100

Yes and btw i got use to my 36.6 dBa sound noise now lol dont know how but i dont think i could handle anything over it like 40 to 50 dBa hehe well thanks for all your help very appreicated
