I have a geForce DDR that was working just dandy with the 6.18 Det3 drivers on. Stupid ol' me decided to install the 6.31's. They never install correctly so I am stuck in 800x600 with 16 colors. I looked around the net for older drivers, but the one site that has them all (reactorcritical) gives me a Forbidden message when I try and download. I tried the 5.22, but when my computer starts up (after the first bar at the bottom), it resets itself... so I have to restore from the Last Know Configuration. I am looking for the 6.18 drivers to see if they will work.. I uninstalled the SP1 to see if that would help, but it didn't. I don't mind formatting, its just that I dont want to lose the 300+ mp3s I have and some other important stuff. PLEASE HELP ME!!!

I am not having problems in CS either (p3 700, 128mb ram, geforce). Here is a little tip that I was given a few weeks ago. Decide for yourself as to whether it helps or not: For any of your games, create a .bat file. Add the following lines to this .bat file echo off Start /high hl.exe (this was for half life). You can add these following lines right after the hl.exe if you want: -console -game cstrike -numericping -nojoy -fps_max 100 -noipx ------------------ NormanSmiley http://zuzumonk.20m.com

Here's my config: P3 700E, 128mb PC 100 RAM, geForce DDR, 7200rpm HDD, and Windows 2000 Pro I know that "Windows 2000 isn't for gaming," but I didn't expect to get such low results on the 3dMark tests. With Win98 I got a final score of around 4700 with this same config. With Win2000 I only managed 2681. There are a couple of things I am going to try before I start to get worried... Have any of you seen this much of a decrease if you are in a similar situation? Anything else I can try (besides switching OSes)? ------------------ NormanSmiley http://zuzumonk.20m.com
