Hey, I'm using a 2 hour fresh install of Win2kPro. Whenever I go to load OE it takes minutes and I do mean minutes !!!!! to load. It seems to just hang until all of a sudden up it pops - usually when I'm about to log off out of sheer frustration. Anyone got any ideas ???? Cos this is driving me f****** mental MiShY

Problem solved.... After applying a "tweak" from a website by disabling a service this made OE load slow. I re-enabled it and everything is running cool again MiShY

Hey, I just installed Win2kPro for the first time and this is my first venture into the NT "domain" scuse the pun..... I installed ZA first off before accessing the internet on a clean install and whenever I now go to use the internet after connection with my ISP is finished 2 programs request to have internet access : Services and controller App Generic Host For Win32 Services I cannot access any sites/email without giving these programs access. Can anyone tell me why they need to have access to the internet ????? Also, what are they ????? and finally, can I stop them and retain internet access ????? This occured before and after both the SP1 update, and the ZA alarm update that has been released for Win2k with the SP1 installed. Thanks for any help you might be able to offer me, MiShY

Hey, 3) Funny you should say that...I've just updated my BIOS and downloaded a bootdisk lol When I try to boot off Windows98SE now it says invalid disk.... That's because Win2k & 98SE are on an NTFS partition right ????? That being the case should I just go for it and wipe Windows98SE from my HDD ?????? Hey Fourandtwenty Thanks for your response..... 1) The reason why it was in the autoexec was because it needs to be called everytime the computer boots because the video memory is not like a BIOS. It can't hold the update. Any ideas ???? 2) With startup cop it shows that the Tweakui loads at boot. It does this on 98 too. Any ideas ???? 3) My 2000 is on an NTFS partition so I don't think a Win98 Bootdisk would help if I ever got in any strife would it ????? Thanks again, MiShY
