Thanks for the tip. I was really hoping to use a winmodem as I had in '98, as I've only got 1 ISA slot, and tons of PCI slots (mostly filled), and the winmodems really don't add much of a system hit with a decent speed processor. Heck, I've got an old ISA USR 28.8 hardware voicemodem here in the drawer, maybe I'll just stick that in since I only need the telephony and faxing features most of the time. Would like to have 56K in case the dsl goes down, but until I find something better, it should do. Do you know of any USB voice modems which claim to work under win2000? Funny about talkworks, I'd installed it, and it worked fine for faxes, but I wasn't getting any voice support, so I checked Symantec's site, and they said it didn't work under 2000. I guess they just don't want to deal with the support headaches, they've always had piss poor support.
