hey... i have a mp3 folder and it is customized to a music folder. until yestersay i was able to click on the command "play all" [which is on the common tasks in the left part of the screen], and winamp would automatically load with all the mp3's in its play list. now, for some reason clicking on "play all" gives me the error "unable to find a playable file" and yet double clicking any file in the directory load winamp..... how do i fix this problem ?? ;(

no...there is no uninstall for win xp.....only system restore. i must say that when i first installed wmp 9 rc1 nothing got messed up..it is only when i updated it that problems began... anyway...how can i fix it without removing wmp 9 which is an excellent program...

come to think of it...i did do something.... i ran the "check for player updates" of the windows media player 9 rc1 and it downloaded 13MB and updated it to version 9.00.00.2926 i didn't read much into it because i once installed a windows media update when i installed the wmp 9 beta ,but that didn't screw up thing.....maybe the new update did ..........

reinstalled winamp......still a no go. i should mention again...winamp works and double clicking mp3's works, it's just the play all command on the common tasks that is not working..(but used to..)

well....i'm using winamp 2.81 and all the setting you mentioned were already set.

winamp works great.......selecting a folder or a file from winamp works fine and also double clicking a mp3 file works (winamp loads and plays the song). my problem is with the OS.i got used to work with a folder customized as a music folder ,and as such a folder a command "play all" appears in the common tasks tab and clicking on it loads all files automatically to winamp.........well at least it used to.....now it won't, now clicking on the "play all" command in a folder filled with mp3's gives me the error "unable to find a playable file".....and that is my problem..... any thoughts?

hey all.. i need something clarified. say i don't have an anti-virus program,and when i download my emails, one email seems suspicious.(unknown sender) if this email contains a virus,and i didn't open it yet, is my pc infected ? if i do open it but don't run the attachment,is my pc infected ??? in other words,what is the step that triggers the infection of the virus ??? thanks !!!!!!! ;(

thank you.....that is very very reassuring..!!! i do use norton anti virus that scans my mail.....but it is good to know that if it misses one mail,i can still count on my judgement before openning a suspicious mail and thus preventing infection. thanks.

obviously using an anti virus is a good protection,i was just wondering what happens without one. preview is definitely off.so if i get an infected mail in my inbox,but i don't touch it..........what happens ?

hey.. i just upgraded my geforce2 mx 400 to the geforce 4 mx 440. i have 2 questions. first i had a choise between a 64MB ddr card and a 128MB Sdr card and i chose the later.did i make the right choise ? second....i need help here, i only get 1800 on 3dmark2001se which is really low and ever lower than the score i used to get with my previous card (2700 ~).....why is that ??? Please Help....i upgraded to improve performance ...not to degrade tham... Help !!!! [Win XP ; 1.6Ghz pentium 4 ; 256MB]

aaahhhh guys....apparently...DDR RULES !!!!! i did as i said and replaced my card with a 64MB DDR (instead of my previous 128MB SDRAM ) and everything is fine.... 3dmark201se shows 5206 and frame rates in all games are alot higher than before.....i guess the list of vga cards at tom's hardware doesn't lie.....!!! so if someone has a card that scores way below that list ,than something is not right... thak you all !!!

hey. when i open the "help and support center" in win xp i see under the "DID YOU KNOW? " the followin message: "When you are connected to the Internet, this area will display links to timely help and support information. If you want to connect to the Internet now, start the New Connection Wizard and see how to establish a Web connection through an Internet service provider." the problem is that i get this message EVEN when i am connected to the internet. is there a way this fix this problem ?

i didnt know they made gf4mx cards with SDR memory either nor with 128MB of it,but it's really sdram.gainwad produces this kind of boards.when i went to buy the card the seller offered me the 128MB version of it, i noticed it was sdram but the seller told me it has the same performance,so i thought even better......ya right.. it appears that i can replace my card with the 64MB ddr version of it, so you would definitely recommend doing so??

if i had the money sure.....but if i wanna be realistic i have 2 choices...a geforce 4 mx 440 with 64MB DDR or geforce 4 440 with 128 SDRAM...what is better ???

that's not exactly true.first i had the option to upgrade so i payed only the difference between the cards. second ,there is a difference in gaming,for example S.O.F II used to stutter like hell if i chose "very high texture quality" (but ran smoothly on "high texture quality")and now it runs smoothly.ALien Vs predator did some problems if i set the settings on the best possible,and now i can feel it's better. the only thing is the very low score i get with 3dmark...

are you saying i won't see any difference in performace ?? and if any ,it will be worse???

hey.. my drive D:\ root directory is customized for picture tasks but there are no pictures in it.i want to remove the customization but i don't know how.the usual customization option that is available in any other folder isn't available in this directory.(it's the drive's root directory) what can i do ?

thanks but resetting thr folder in folder options -> view -> reset all folders, did the trick.

hey... i know that there is a macro command that can do a miror image to a selected text.....i just can't remember what it is..(MS Office) (i tried to copy and paste a hebrew text from a web page to a text file ,but the paste command gave me a mirror image of the text,so i need to do another mirror) thanks for your help !!...
