hey guys i have 2 cards here. now which one is better at stock speeds. i heard the 9500pro is better because it has 8 pipes but the 9600xt has better clock here is my system specs: AMD XP 2500+ 1.83ghz STOCK speed ASUS A7N8X-E Deluxe Nforce2 BETA Bios 1011 2x512mb PC3200 DDR Sdram Samsumg STOCK speed Premium Black mid-tower Case, 420 watt PS Okia 1/2 floppy drive LG 4x4x24x cd burner 80GB 7200RPM ATA 100 samsumg 17" monitor relisys 56.6k PCI modem Lucen Logitech Wireless Keyboard Logitech Wireless Mouse Mx700 Labtec 4 speakers surround sound which one should i keep, which one should i sell? i decided to run my hardware at stock speeds, i have heat issues. both cards are BBA

okay guys i did a 3dmark 2001se test using these settings: 1280*1024*32bit 6xAA triple buffer texture format z-buffer 24 D3D Pure Hardware T&L 9500pro-4984 9600XT-3679 ALL TESTS WHERE DONE 5 TIMES with windows xp sp1 + latest patches cats 4.5 stock speed on all my hardware using beta 1011 bios for my motherboard nvidia drivers 4.24 defrag was also done before each test

i use AVG free at home.. works fine

or, install the new powertoys that just came out... support server 2003 now

is there another update for this ?

i use www.warp2search.net, 3dspotlight.com, windows update, support.microsoft.com that's where i get my patches from.

it sounds like your second cd is damaged some how, go back to the place where you bought it and ask them for another copy

sory for not posting for a long time... been busy with alot of stuff lately... i was just wondering has anything changed in Windows Xp home is it better then Win2k SP4 beta(just heard it came out) i have not payed attention to computers since the summer...so i was just wondering... also i did not even know SP1 for XP was out until i installed it and it gave me a blue screen! dam M$. oh well. i just formated and reinstalled XP home without SP1...

just downloaded the DX8.1b for windows 2000 and i opened up the file in winrar i extracted the file and right clicked on all the .inf's if one had to install. i clicked on it and it installed. i skipped installing older files its working fine now.. no crashes i also have offical software and winxp updates on my computer
