Resize your NTFS partition and make a small FAT partition for DOS games. Problem fixed.

Anyone get this game to work in win2k? I get a "Error reading registry" error even when using qfixapp or win2k's win95 compatibility layer.
-
Someone with experience in making no cd cracks would propably be able to make one fast...but its kinda hard finding someone like that.
-
Why would you post new games in the list? I think that 99% of new games work fine on win2k, except those made by no-name companies which you would never play anyways.

Now it can't access the cd even though I have it in the drive. Any idea why? Also it does not even attempt to read any of my cdrom drives.

Try typing fps_max 99 in the console while playing CS. Maybe the limit it set at 40.

Any luck with Transport Tycoon Deluxe Windows95 edition? Mine says it can't access the registry even if I use qfixapp.

I updated the game to latest version and I get this error: "An privlieged instruction was executed at address 005c7c14 Click ok to terminate the application" I get that without using the compatibility tool but using the compatibility tool I get "MSVCRT.DLL for Win32 ERROR: MSVCRT.DLL is not compatible with win32s." Any ideas?

Now im having trouble installing Red Alert again. I don't exactly remember how I installed it the first time. The compatibility tool dosen't work, the setup keeps on saying "You are running Windows 5.0. This is a win95 only product"
-
Anyone get Red Alert to even install using that toolkit? The installation still says it wont install because its a win95 product.

Its not on that freedrive account anymore? could ya email it to me? mastakil@home.com

I got win2k installed with a sblive value. I got a boot disk booting into dos but no sound in games. If I used the sb 16 emulation driver would it work? And anyone know where to get these emulation drivers? I cant use the win98 sblive driver installer on win2k and the emulation drivers are included in that.

I know vesa is not compaible with win2k but I made a boot disk and went into dos and tried to load my old vesa driver that I used with my old Mach32 vid card and when I tried to run Privateer2 which requires it, it just froze. I currently have a geforce2. Shouldint it work? Nothing from win2k was loaded, it was just pure dos.

I used apcompat.exe and the game installed just fine. But when I try to run the win95 version then it runs in a extrymely low resolution and then it gives me some weird error and thats all. The dos version works fine but its low res and the win95 version is supposed to run at the res at which my desktop is set. Any ideas why it dosent work? on this site it says that it should run just fine.
-
Well I guess ntcompatible.com needs to update their records because it says it works fine. ;/

Yea there is and it works but I still get a error right after the game starts reading the cdrom to play the into movie. But Red Alert always ran at the desktop resolution in win98.

Im trying to use APCOMPAT.EXE to run the Command & Conquer Red Alert setup but when I press OK then APCOMPAT.EXE just freezes and I have to end its process and after I do THEN the setup.exe for red aler runs but it still says that it wont run in win2k. The games section says APCOMPAT.EXE would work with red alert. Any ideas?

I am selecting the setup.exe on the red alert cd.
