    thanks for the responses. checked the pins, checked the cable connections .. everything seems to be in place .. even checked with the other working system and the problem still exists. could this mean my monitor was burnt out? any other suggestions? TIA

    my monitor looks like it's covered by "yellow" colored filter. can't figure out what caused this strange behavior .. anyone knows how to fix this? TIA

    I'm running w2k on my computer right now, and have a 6GB HD (configured with win98se) sitting in other computer .. Could I put the win98se HD to my new computer without formatting them all over again? Currently the system is running on NTFS and kinda confused if I have to change all HDs to FAT32 to run the win98se HD. If I could add the HD without reformatting, how could I make the dual booting to work? TIA .. Brian
