as far as my memory goes you somehow mount an cd image of the vmware tools in the guest os and install them from there. it was really easy to do (and no downloads), but i can't remember the exact procedure-try clicking that link in the status bar maybe

i just found out about tagscanner a couple of days ago, so i can't provide in depth info, but it seems nice and its free. was using Tag&Rename before and its great, not free though

X:\i386\taskkill.ex_ with your win xp cd in the cd drive x, unpack it, then use it from the cmd line like e:\taskkill.exe /f /pid [pid of the process you want to kill] and be careful!

just delete the file you want to replace from %windir%\system32\dllcache\ (and any other place you find it) and then overwrite it with the "new" one. you don't need to disable wfp, just when it asks for the w2k cd tell it to go to hell.

a perfect circle-3 libras and doesn't everybody have sort of wierd music taste, i mean i like: tool, nin, radiohead, massive attack, aphex twin, juno reactor, laibach, biosphere, boards of canada, fsol, garbage, faith no more, autechre, depeche mode...

there is also the virtual pc thing and it basicly does teh same thing as vmware. it emulates some crummy harware for the "guest" (or whatever the hell their term is) os. i haven't tested it very much, but it might be worth checking it out.

i haven't seen this sort of a topic here so it might be a good waste of time. for me it is: boards of canada-music is math
