    Show Desktop button

    paste this: [shell] Command=2 IconFile=explorer.exe,3 [Taskbar] Command=ToggleDesktop in notepad and save it as "C:\Documents and Settings\Administrator\Application Data\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Quick Launch\show.scf" That's it!
  2. This is the .vbs I use for restart: set WshShell = CreateObject("WScript.Shell") WshShell.SendKeys "%{F4}r{ENTER}" But I think it'll only work if you run it from the desktop.

Pages don't load completely, the spell checker does not work from time to time etc. Is anyone else experiencing this or is it just me? BTW its only happening with this site.

    Need some advice here

Well,I'm thinking about buying a Guillemot 3D Prophet II GTS 32MB DDR,but I'm not so sure if my MOBO:ASUS P2B-F(i440BX chipsett) will handle its power requirements. Getting a SDR GF2GTS wouldn't make a difference, would it? The main reason for not just getting a i815 MOBO and being on the safe side is that I'm as usual short on cash(college student),and besides I'm sorta pleased with the one I've got. I've checked out the geforceFAQ site but that didn't help much. Help me out, what Should I do?
  14. Device Manager > Display adapters > 3dfx interactive,Inc. Voodoo series driver > Driver(tab)>Driver details... Compare the installed driver(for ogl,glie2x,...)versions with the ones from the readme.txt list, they are the same. [This message has been edited by bottleneck (edited 13 November 2000).]

    OpenGL Drivers... where to find?

Try this: http://www.wicked3d.com/technology/wickedGL.htm Worked fine for me while I was playing Star Trek Elite Force(QIII engine),it was bit faster than the 3dfx drivers and wasn't crashing at all.

got my voodoo2 going, but i cant change my @#$% refresh rate.

I have V3 and for fixing the refresh rate I use V.Control.I think it should work for V2 too.You can get it at: http://www.voodooextreme.com/koolsmoky/

GeForce 2 and GeForce 2 MX

You probably found out allready, but here it is anyway: MX has almost the same procesor as the GF2 gts, only difference is that the MX has only 2 rendering pipelines(GTS has 4),It uses slower RAM,and doesn't have active cooling so it runs at lower clock. And its much, much cheaper than GF2 GTS.

    NFS Porsche unleashed trouble

I installed Need for speed Porsche unleashed the other day,and deleted 'gimme.dll'(otherwise it eats up a ton of memory during loading and then crashes),after what the game run fine. After rebooting(didn't install or uninstall anything meanwhile)the intro moovie and game menues load normaly, but when I hit the 'race' button the game crashes to desktop without any messages.Tried different grafics settings and reinstalling the game, but still doesn't work. ------------------ ---------------------------------------- System: MB Asus P2B CPU celeron433MHz HDD Quantum FB 15GB ATA66 7200rpm RAM 128MB PC100 Toshiba V3 2000 AGP (10104 Beta drivers) SB Creative128PCI CDROM x36 Toshiba Windows 2000 Professional SP1 installed
