I have the same problem, I just use settings I have created in the Color Correction section of the Display Properties.
-
Yeah but from previous data, MACs are almost PCs short of the OS and CPU/MB.
-
You think if you could go buy Mac parts separate they'd be cheaper and more popular?

BladeRunner in the beige hummer all summer...

So how do you think the G4 1.0 GIG would stack up?
-
Thanks, that at least gives me an ave to drive down.

Try reinstalling and then uninstalling.

Just change your setting in Device Manager to read Standard PC instead of ACPI. Unless you absolutely have to use Stand By. I have always, with the exception of NT 4.0, used PNP set to YES. Some devices are not detected properly by the OS with it set to NO.

I use KaZaA Lite, there are no ads what so ever. Adware doesn't find anything after Lite version, Although it does with reg version.

Screw Morpheus! Ever since they were attacked and lost their network they were forced to release a practically alpha version of their newest sw. Use KaZaA, it looks just like Morpheus used to and uses the KaZaA network which Morpheus used to be connected to. http://www.kazaa.com/en/index.htm

Got an idea, save the picture as whatever, open Photoshop or some other image editor and save it as the type you want. I create/edit web pages and have seen this problem as well.

I use Edit+ sometimes, it is not a bad lil app. Hey Clutch how do you like VS.NET? I am still using VS6.0 Enterprise and was thinking of upgrading, honestly is it worth it? What are the major difs?

I have both NAV2002 and NAV Coporate 7.51. 7.51 does seem to run better and less bloated than 2002. Both are pretty equal in strength, I still would rec. 7.61, simply because they put a lil more quality into their coporate products.

I have this same problem with OE 6.0 on 2 Win2K boxes running Office XP and SP2. I will try to locate that same key and see if it works.

Before error: Fresh install of Windows 2000 with SP2 and all the latest from Windows Update. Installed Office XP, and misc apps like WinZip, Antivirus etc. This was all done under administrator account. Created a new account, power user. Rebooted the machine, I get this error now and everytime i boot into desktop (not verbatim) "An error has occurred with windows pagefile, a temporary pagefile has been created...." No matter what I do I get this error everytime I reboot. I have tried to reset the pagefile, set it to zero and rebooted, set it to 382min and 1024 max and rebooted, NOTHING HAS FIXED THIS. I cannot afford to do another clean install and there is no hardware issues at all. All have own IRQs, all hardware all been running fine for at least a year. Someone help me... Also tried regclean and reinstalling service paqs, deleted profiles, removed users, &^$&%#&$#^$ The only program that is running on startup is Norton 6.0 Coporate.

I was able to fix this problem by reinstalling Service Pack 2. Everything was fine after that. Nothing else worked so I said f&ck it. Rather than going str8 to reinstalling the whole OS, just service pack 2. Thanks for all your suggestions.

Any 9.x kernal (not sure about ME)will do the system.ini trick. ONLY NT based OSes will allow priority. GO with 98SE.
-
Quote: Clarification? When i rename shell line to winvu, do i need to reboot, will i be able to run any other programs? Yes you will be able to run other programs. Just minimize WinVu and double click on the empty background. Task manager (old win 3.x - 9.x) comes up and from there you can choose Run Task or Open Program (something like that).

It's a long shot but you could try replacing the DX files from the CD. It would also help if you posted your machine stats and driver versions so we could see if there was a possible driver incompatibilty

I usually go with whatever NVidia has on THEIR website, considering they make the damn chips. I never really see (along with 100% of the population) the difference 2-8 frames can make. The card makers out their usually use the last 2 versions back of the reference drivers and modify them anyway, i.e. Hercules. Go with whatever is most stable on your machine, if you desire more frames, get more memory, faster chip, better card. I am using 28.32s and get 95 - 70 FPS in Nascar 4 with 32bit color/textures, Highest possible render options, with 40 cars in front of me. The human eye can't see much of a difference after say 60FPS I may be mistaken this may be lower.

What makes XP better than 2K? Nothing. XP is Microsoft's latest $ucce$$ful attempt to gain revenue for the next 2 years and on. Otherwise the name of this thread would be What makes 2K better than 9X? XP is an ok OS for 80 percent of computer users (who don't know sh*t about computing to begin with) It is almost an idiot proof OS, almost and very bloated with extra crap. All XP really is, is 2K with a pretty shell (which you can duplicate with 3rd party programs), balloons to help ID10Ts, Self organizing menus and folders, and the latest versions of IE and DX. In my experience XP ran just like 2K except that ADOBE Premiere 6.01 took 300MB more ram than it does in 2K. I use Premiere daily and can't have that massive mem leak. If .NOT is anything like XP, 2K will be on my machines for a while. My advice and plan is to move to XP when SP2 comes out for it. Ironically I have 2 XP Pro Full Retail CDs just waiting to be installed. Dusty they shall remain.

I have my T-bird 1 ghz running at 1.33 on a 8K7A is 1.5 wort

I would unlock and overclock only if you can afford to buy a new chip if you burn the old one out. FSB is ok, BUT you are stressing you other cards in the process, it's better to unlock the multiplier. -
HKLM \Software\Microsoft\Windows\Current Version\Run or Run Services in your registry. You will see winamp agent. Delete it if you are unable to disable it in the actual program.

I have used SMC and Realteks without problems, never even heard of CNet cards!!!

Might as well get a P4$ or say you are getting one. If you go AMD the forum will shred you to pieces as I have learned.
