First of all you "should" be a IT related company. But you could also be the company that works with the IT related company. 2ndly go to this link to register as a partner --> http://members.microsoft.com/partner/help/howtoregister.aspx After you register, if you are eligible, go to this link ---> http://members.microsoft.com/partner/salesmarketing/partnermarket/actionpack/default.aspx?nav=ln The Action Pack gives you this (link below) for only $299 http://members.microsoft.com/partner/sal...k_standard.aspx Basically you get their current OS and Servers and current Office/Frontpage/Publisher/Project and many others. You are allowed 1 Server activation and 10 client licenses for each server. You are allowed 10 activations for the Desktop OSes and desktop software. If you add up all the goodies they give you it's $25,000 with of MS product for $299. I bought this pack and saved my company thousands of dollars as we have 8 workstations and 2 servers! I highly recommend it. A couple not listed on their site is Windows 2003 Server Web Edition, Windows 2003 Small Business Server and misc. Service pack CDs.

I am asking this because I have a crap load of extra parts, some of which are video cards. I personally have a GeForce 4 Ti. I am building a machine for my brother and just wish to know if the Gf2 is better than the Ati 7000.

Multiple TCP/IP, computer name, and domain in XP. How To???
CyberGenX replied to Dr Love's topic in Networking
Well first off you can keep the computer name the same unless someone else is using it on either network. How are both networks setup? Do they both use DHCP, neither or one? Are there domains on both? Have you thought about 2 nics? -

Yeah me too. I go to all the MS training deals and get the lastest OS, Server, and Office Versions every year just so I don't have to shell out for them... -

How to get $25K in MS software for $299
CyberGenX replied to CyberGenX's topic in Everything New Technology
We don't plan on hosting any websites, internal or external. The main reason for getting this is so you don't have to pay $140+ for Windows XP for each machine, $xxx+ for Office XP for EVERY machine, $xxx for Publisher XP, FrontPage XP, MapPoint 2002, Project , Visio, Exchange, FOR EACH MACHINE and the biggest cost Windows Server 2003. MS is pretty good about what you CAN do with this pack. As long as you don't try to resell or pirate the software (or run public website) you can pretty much do what you want. From what I have heard they "should" be sending Office 2003 next quarter. -
I and several of my clients have had it. What is the best "free" or "Cheap" anti-spam software for OE or Outlook?

So far I am trying something called Spam Alarm 2.0. It works directly with the POP3 server. This is nice because I don't need to have my mail client open to weed out spam and get new email notification. It also uses information from the last several years to filter against. I usually get like 80 pieces of spam a day, today I have received only 2!!! Going to try a few other as well http://www.dignitysoftware.com/

I'll give those a try, thanks.

It's war like any other. It's all about strategy. That is why we are not speaking french or german right now.

Yes I remember Merlin OS/2. Most banks used it. NO OTHER non MS commercial OS WOULD'VE SURVIVED, MS makes sure of that. It's either Windows or Some flavor of Unix/Linux.

Where do you go to find out the date of your windows 2k install? I install windows on dozens of computers a week and need to find out when I did an install on a particular box, the exact date. Thanks in advance

Yeah, BUT I clean out any and all files not needed, .log, .bak, .tmp etc. That one is long gone...

What type of game controller are you using? You may need to calibrate it. The other Nascar games worked much better when you go to the calibrate section before racing.

Oh I see. 512MB is supposed to be the limit for 9.x Oses. And from what I have seen, similar to your problem, 512 is an issue on occasion. Who knows what is causing your case. Did it ever work? Or better yet, when did this Start happening?

Did you check the HKEY_CURRENT_USER AND HKEY_USERS .....Sections of the registry?

Being a hobbist coder I know of a way to make programs run in the background undetected. A few people use these methods to write ugly code like the suB7 and other advanced screWare I'm sure. 9.x is a crap OS when it comes to control, have you ever considered at least moving to XP or 2000? The fact that you did an overlay install doesn't ever help the situation, 9.x pretty much treats it as an upgrade(downgrade) and keeps a lot of your old registry settings.

Quote: I have tried taking each drive out, connect to regular Primary IDE, and do a zero-write (or write-zero, or whatever) to clear both drives, then run a disk scan again but found no bad sector at all. So after you found no bad sectors at all did you then try to reinstall WinXP? If so, did you then receive an new bad sector? Have you the latest MB AND RAID BIOS updates, RAID drivers from website? RAID shouldn't be wasted if you are able to take advantage, pinpoint this puppy before you go downgrading yourself.

windows xp and sound problems.......
CyberGenX replied to RavishingRocket's topic in Everything New Technology
I have a similar problem. I cannot play wavs either, not thru any program. I can play CD music, through the sound card, just fine though. 2Kpro Intel P4 AC97 Audio -
Intel is downplaying the whole 64bit desktop buzz. I believe we will be kissing 32bits goodbye by the end of next year when it comes to gamers and us video editors. What is your take? Looks like AMD will reign king again, King64!

Is it worth converting W2003 Server for Workstation use?
CyberGenX replied to pmistry's topic in Slack Space
yeah i have gotten a few pieces here or there by other means, but most of the time there is always the problem of cdkeys or cracks/hacks, activation bypasses, yada yada yada. What a pain in the a$$ it is. When you could just get the legit stuf and it work out of the box.
