    I have the same problem with my dial-up. Just wait for about 3 minutes and your dial-up connection should start recieving data again. I know its annoying but i haven't found a permanent fix for this.

    If you are experiencing "Windows Protection Errors" when shutting down WinME and you have a VIA Apollo Pro 133 based motherboard I know what is causeing the problem, NVIDIA's Detnator 3 Drivers. Just install the 5.22 drivers and the problem goes away. These drivers also cause problems with other motherbaords as well, some computers will just display a black screen when shutting down. Currently all 6.xx Dentonator 3 drivers have this bug.

    I have the same problem. I looked around a few other bulletin boards and have come to the conclusion that Nvidia's Detonator 3 drivers are to blame.
