I just did a clean install of Whistler Beta 1 and so far I thing its very good. I am curious as to why there are about 7 svchost.exe's running and all together they are comsuming well over 20mb of ram. Why is this and is there any way to get them to use less ram? please help thanks chris

I just installed Whistler 2257 today and so far I love it, I'm just having 2 small problems. The first is I only have 2 icons on the desktop: recycle bin and report a bug. How do I add more? Especially the My Computer icon. My second problem is that I cannot install the newest Nvidia drivers. I browse to the folder the drivers are in and Whistler tells me theres no drivers in it. I would like to get the drivers installed so that I can play games. Please help. Thanks

Thanks for the help I now have the icons that I want on the desktop now as for the Nvidia driver problem. I have all the needed files for the drive (6.31) but Whistler tells me that the wizard could not find a better match for you hardware. These are the newest leaked drivers for the Geforce. Should I first remove the generic Microsoft drivers and then try installing the Nvidia ones?
