My Epson Stylus 600 works great with whistler. Too bad that the printer is a pile o garbage. Are you using Drivers included with Whistler or are you using downloaded drivers?

Jdulmage... obviously you have a rather low IQ...there are more costs to upgrading than just purchasing the OS... what about the tons of money required for installation labour, planning, training of employees, possible misc hardware replacements (if need be) as well as database conversion...

It should support your card. I suggest upgrading your card to something a little better... i suggest either a preofessional card from Guillemont or the new philips Acoustic Edge. Yes the sblive is good but it just doesn't cut it when it comes to audio recording

You do realize how much it costs to upgrade an entire companies OS? Lots! If they just upgraded to Win2k it'll probably be another 2 years before they upgrade anything else.

Already did that.. I'm using build 2419, mainly because liveware 3 won't install under 2428.

You do realize Video and sound editing requires more geek power than playing stupid quake 3 right? (quake 3 runs faster on mac too!)

Still, when it comes to raw crunching power the mac takes the cake. Look at ProTools. To compile 96bit audio at 48khz for one song takes 5 hours on a dual Piii 700 where on a single processor G4 500 it takes 3 1/2 hours.

Lets see... focused on the gui... WRONG!!!!!!!!! Totally disregard that they went to a BSD core for MacOS X. If MacOS isn't all that stable then how come 90% (or so) of graphic artists use Macs as their main workstation and 98% of all recording artists use Macs as well (Look at LucasFilm and Skywalker ranch... 100% Mac users)

One option I would LOVE to see included is WinXP is the "WindowShade" feature ala MacOS. I find that alot more useful than minimizing the window.

At home - computer on 24/7. Gone for vacation - turned off just in case something happens while i'm gone (fan stops working, power outage, hack, etc.)

Remove ISA and you remove MIDI controll. Well, if you do that then i'm pretty sure the very small amount of musicians that use PC's for audio recording would, without hesitation, switch to MAC.
