Something XP will have trouble winning over users with

Lets see, i can occupy a PCI slot with a NIC card or i can use a ISA NIC card and fill that now vacant PCI slot with something useful, like a Guilemont 8 input multitrack audio card or a nice Adaptec 160 SCSI card. ISA is good for low end devices (nic cards, modems...) -
I blame your guy's lack of humor on the incredible small size of your penis's. Small penis = no sense of humor.

As an avid audiophile and musician running a home studio I agree with questionaire. Mp3 is better. WMA just isn't as attractive. And with mp4 audio just over the horizon i don't think ms will be able to compete. And besides... ms hasn't really released or done anything with the amateur recording artist.

I can't get Liveware to install under build 2428. When i run the installer it gets as far as the "initializing wise install wizard" and then just stops...no errors or anything. The weird thing is that liveware installed flawlessly under build 2419. Could this have something to do with the driver verification system? Also, Nvidia detonator 3 drivers refuse to install and the theme service doesn't initialize automatically at startup ( i have to manually start the service)

I agree with you. Like look at the price of pro tools... there's no way a piece of software is worth more than $5,000.

Isn't the whole point of this forum is to get technical help? rickkinz question was a valid one, he needed help with something he didn't have the answer to. Remember, we were all newbiez once too.

I had a similar problem. The culprit was an ISA modem. I switched over to a PCI winmodem and everything seemed a.o.k.

Is there a jumper on the motherboard to disable the nic?

OSX has to one of the most visually pleasing OS's on the market to date. Everything just seems to flow so smoothly in it. The entire OS is based on PDF graphics, which accounts for the awesome antialiased graphics.

You could use IE under WINE but whats the point. Its too much work to configure. I find that Mozilla's browser works alot better than NS6

Konqueror is a pretty damn good browser though i've had a few java related problems with it. Netscape 6 is good but is too much of a memory hog. I found Opera to be fairly decent. I wish they had shockwave support for Linux (

Yes, the whistler i saw was beta. And no, i do not currently have it installed. Though once i did for a while but it interfered with my LILO boot configuration so i had to toss it.
